Today’s announcement from the government confirming private investment in Sizewell C is a clear vote of confidence in the project – and in the strength, necessity, and future of Britain’s nuclear industry. Sizewell C will: ✅ Create 10,000 jobs, including 1,500 apprentices ✅ Bring new opportunities to businesses up and down the country ✅ Power 6 million homes for at least 60 years ✅ Lower costs by £2bn a year once operational Since the Development Consent Order was triggered in early 2024, work on the Sizewell C site has seen major progress – including extensive earthworks, new road construction, and developing the rail delivery programme.
