@DrDJRiddles @BradKlibansky Agree the backline has been doing incredibly well being very undermanned and Harry Dean should be right up there in the rising star for what that kid has done. Just as an outsider I think the club is being cautious not to fall into the same trap as they did with Teague.

@EagleHuey @BradKlibansky The point is, we have been conceding an average of 67 points per game with a depleted backline. If you are conceding only 67 points you are giving “luck” a chance. Weitering, O’Farrell and Carroll are all walk up starts when fit into the backline.

@BradKlibansky TBF they got lucky walking away with wins against the Dogs,Geelong,Essendon and Richmond. It would have been a very different story if Carlton were 3/4. I can see why the Carlton bosses aren’t getting carried away and buying into the hype that Fraser needs to be in the mix.

We had about 6 flankers do absolutely nothing all game. Defenders were huge. Mids got better but were beaten. Derksen, Haynes, Cerra and Cow won that for us.

i think a lot of the negativity came from voss not using these players properly in the positions they got drafted in. eg had motlop playing wayyyyy too much time in defence. had hollands on half back.

unpopular opinion but i think nick austin had more successful picks/recruits than busts

@andyjruns Has to be the preferred candidate now doesn’t he? Even if we win 50% of the remaining games the risk of losing what seems to be a stabilising and unifying coach is too great not to.

Absolutely love watching Fraser’s pressers. I study his reactions & eyes, esp when the usual q’s around his desire to be our Snr coach come. Not a single flicker or twinkle that he’s trying to conceal himself. Just a genuine steadfastness to improve this team. He’s 💯 authentic.

The funny bit about this tweet is it literally outlines the whole problem with the Voss era. Completely reliant on talent to overcome strategic deficiencies. Had no plan B. Ran out of ways to motivate the group Fraser, new to the club, fresh eyes, immediately fixed a lot of that
