Brewery: Great Lakes Brewing Co (Cleveland, OH) Beer: Mocha Blackout Stout Style: BBA stout ABV: 11% Analysis: bold, dark coffee with a pinch of sweetness & a subtle bourbon follow that finishes with a dark & roasty malt. Best Situation: when the snow piles up.

Brewery: Rusty Rail (Mifflinburg, PA) Beer: Swish Style: sour ABV: 6% Analysis: tart blue raspberry with a somewhat sour lemonade pucker with a sweet aftertaste. Situation: treat time.

Beer is better.

Brewery: Great Lakes (Cleveland, OH) Beer: Bourbon Barrel Rye Style: rye ale ABV: 11.6% Analysis: a pinch of flavorful bourbon that bites the tongue with a strong rye spick kick with a bourbon return & finally a malty relaxation in the end. Best Situation: drink a jolt.
