@DrHanWill oh, I keep forgetting about the BBQ and jumble sales in Australia! Belgium, too, has compulsory voting, but we really actively turn it into a slog... We should have a chocolate fountain or something. I need us to invent a democratic tradition with some urgency.

This is why Belgium votes on a Sunday, isn't it?* There's absolutely no useful update that can be had, and yet, and yet... *also healthy for making sure people actually can participate in democracy...
