@orangutans @tedthelabrador @IUCN Seems to me that we don’t actually need vegetable oils really. Even when I was a kid there weren’t any plastic bottles of veg oil in the kitchen. Seems to me we’ve only been using them in a BIG way for a few decades….at least where I grew up..🤔

🥳News from Suaq! We found Trident & her baby Tulyus (pronounced like tool-use😅). The ability to use tools is exceptionally rare. Only 1% of all animals use tools. The orangutan not only uses tools, but also makes them. We are excited to see when Tulyus is making his first tool!
