I had a meeting with the team of the Coordination Headquarters for the Treatment of Prisoners of War. We discussed in detail the results of the exchanges that have already taken place this year, as well as preparations for upcoming exchanges. We hope that in the near future we will be able to welcome home Ukrainians who are currently in captivity in Russia and in temporarily occupied territories. The Coordination Headquarters has prepared the necessary documents and lists for exchanges, and is in constant communication with the Russian side specifically regarding these humanitarian issues. We remember all our people who remain in Russian captivity – both military personnel and civilians. Particular attention is given to those who were taken captive even before the start of the full-scale invasion.
We discussed requests from international organizations and cooperation with partners to secure the release of people. It is important to do everything possible to ensure progress across all categories of prisoners: journalists, city mayors and community leaders, energy workers, our warriors – Azov fighters, marines, paratroopers, and all others for whom the exchange process is especially difficult. Our goal is to bring all our people home from captivity. We are cross-checking all information, verifying every name. It is not uncommon that a person is listed as missing, but we find them in camps in Russia and bring them back to Ukraine. This work will continue. We will also engage with some partner country leaders to take additional steps. I thank the entire Coordination Headquarters team and every partner who is helping!

Well, might one call this leadership?
King Charles III, spoke Tuesday 28 April in a rarely-occuring Congressional joint session, which the President of the United States was barred by protocol from attending.
He set the stage before he made his key points. He spoke of his Christian faith, he reminded Congress it is still Easter season, and he recalled the promise of America.
In a poetic line that confused Congress momentarily, he said we must stop the beating of plowshares into swords.
And then he went for the piece de resistance: The same “unyielding resolve” shown by the UK and the USA in times past is “needed for the defense of Ukraine and her most courageous people”
With those words, Speaker Mike Johnson and most of the Congress began to stand and clap. Vice President JD Vance, seated above Charles, in his capacity as president of the Senate, hesitated—and then, drawn into the moment, joined the applause for a nation for which he has never before had a good word.
Charles wasn’t done talking about Ukraine. He then added that we need to “secure a truly just and lasting piece.”
Notably, the king could never give such a consequential speech back in the UK, where he is expected to say little. But abroad, he is freer.
And in a weird way in “the year of Our Lord 2026 and in the year of the American founding 250,” as George Washington would write, King Charles of Britain gave America’s political framework a necessary nudge it had been long lacking.
The US president necessarily must be political and by being political he loses gravitas. But the king, in this rare moment, by being gently political provided the gravitas that the USA constitutionally lacks.

In Ukrainian soil, by Ukrainian farmers, then forced on pain of death or a filtration camp to hand it over to the russian squatters. Grain is sacred in Ukraine. Sacred.

Dear Israel: Buying stolen Ukrainian grain not only directly profits off genocide, including of Jewish victims. It not only helps Russia finance its crimes. It’s literally same crime that russians used to genocide 7 million Ukrainians during Holodomor. Russians starved us and used part of that stolen grain to fund H@tler’s war machine that resulted in Holocaust.

I am grateful to the guys from the Security Service of Ukraine for their precision. The straight-line distance is over 1,500 kilometers. We will continue to extend these ranges, and these are entirely justified Ukrainian responses to Russian terror. It is important that every strike reduces the capabilities of Russia’s military industry, logistics, and oil exports. The results are obvious to everyone. It is also obvious to everyone that Russia must end its war. It is time to move to diplomacy, and this is a signal that Moscow should hear. Glory to Ukraine!

Ukraine's SBU Alpha Special Operations Centre struck the Perm Linear Production and Dispatching Station overnight — a strategic hub of Russia's Transneft pipeline network, located more than 1,500 km from the Ukrainian border. The result: a massive fire. Preliminary reports indicate almost all oil storage tanks at the facility are burning. The Perm station distributes oil in four directions — including to the Perm oil refinery. It is not a peripheral target. It is a node. Acting SBU Chief Yevheniy Khmara: "Striking oil logistics creates a resource deficit for Russia's military-industrial complex, disrupts fuel supply chains for the army, and forces the enemy to spend significant resources on restoration and protection of oil infrastructure." This is the Ukraine War Plan working. Ukraine's strategic document identifies one explicit economic objective: deprive Russia of the financial resources to wage war. The mechanism is direct. Russia funds its war through oil exports — channelled globally through a shadow fleet designed to evade sanctions. Ukrainian Navy strikes sanctioned Russian shadow fleet tanker MARQUISE IMO 9315745 using naval kamikaze drones.
The vessel, flying the Cameroon flag was hit this morning by two unmanned surface drones.
At the time of the strike, the tanker was drifting about 210 km southeast of Tuapse.
