From pioneering ASU Online to launching global initiatives, he’s redefined what it means to be a “public” university in the 21st century. His vision shows that universities can be both inclusive and elite — it doesn’t have to be one or the other.

#Empathy is a #leadership skill — not a soft skill. Want to lead better? Start by listening without fixing, asking “What do you need?” instead of guessing, and creating space for real conversations. When done well, empathy fuels clarity, connection, and stronger outcomes.

56% of graduating seniors feel unsure about the #JobMarket—but you’re not powerless. Sharpen your resume. Network like it’s your job. Say yes to opportunities, even if they’re outside your major. Intern. Volunteer. Try things. Your first job is your launch pad. #HigherEd

Essay-based exams will be fully digital, while STEM subjects will blend online and handwritten responses. It’s a shift that reflects where education is headed—more flexible, tech-enabled, and data-informed. This move is a strong signal of progress.

Starting this month, most #APExams are going online, marking one of the biggest changes in how AP exams are delivered and evaluated. The College Board is moving 28 of 36 subjects to its Bluebook platform, making things more streamlined (and hopefully less stressful) for students.

@AdamMGrant Love this, @AdamMGrant. Failure builds character and forces growth in ways success can’t. Every tough loss has taught me more than an easy win ever did. You don’t learn resilience when things go right — you earn it when they don’t.

Resumes shouldn't just showcase our success. They should feature our struggles too. No one's life is a highlight reel. Character isn't visible in our triumphs alone—it's revealed by the hardships we endure and the challenges we conquer. Here’s my lowlight reel. What's on yours?

@georgestern Absolutely. What’s interesting is how often EQ gets overlooked in favor of technical skills, even though it’s the glue that holds teams together. I’ve found that real growth in EQ starts when feedback is actively welcomed.

The most compelling insight? Students want guidance on how to use it responsibly, not just restrictions. Educators and schools have a real opportunity here to lead by example.

The debate over #AI in #education is growing, and students are weighing in. In a recent NYT piece, teens shared their views: some see AI as a useful study tool, others worry it’s becoming a crutch that limits learning and independent thinking. nytimes.com/2025/05/08/lea…

@AdamMGrant Totally agree. I love the act of putting pen to paper. Writing isn’t just about producing words, it’s how I make sense of things. Sure, AI can save time, but it can't replace the clarity and insight that come from wrestling with ideas on the page.

It’s a mistake to outsource most writing to AI. Even if the output is accurate and engaging, something valuable is lost in the process. Jotting down intuitions and spelling out hunches is how we develop and refine our ideas. Writing is where we do our best thinking.

@RuthGotian Great advice. I’ve learned more by digging into one topic that actually matters to me than skimming five others. Teaching it to someone else always shows me what I truly understand — or don’t.

You don’t need to read for 5 hours a day to be successful. It’s easy to get caught up in what everyone else is doing with all the book lists, podcasts and productivity hacks being recommended. But trying to copy-paste someone else’s habits into your life won’t work. 1/4

The result? A 14% bump in FAFSA completion among new students, and dozens of students receiving the state aid they nearly missed. It turns out a well-timed email and a helping hand can go a long way. #FinancialAid

#FAFSA can feel like a maze — especially when students don’t even know what’s missing. Holyoke Community College in Massachusetts tackled that with an early alert system that flagged incomplete apps and connected students to one-on-one advising.

As Gen Z takes on leadership roles, are we helping them navigate the complexities or setting them up to fail by overlooking key issues? How can we prepare them for leadership without unintentionally hindering their growth? #Leadership #GenZ #WorkplaceDevelopment

Why blame Gen Z for the leadership gap when their challenges may stem from how they were raised? With overparenting on the rise, many are stepping into management roles with underdeveloped skills like decision-making and resilience. forbes.com/sites/ruthreit…
