@alextatem @faysal_a_yafi @liquidgoldwayne @urol11 @apastusz Collagenase is intrinsically damaging, so there’s a theoretical concern that introducing a noxious stimuli into an evolving environment that we (think) is the result of micro-trauma could increase the risk of corporal rupture - but needs to be investigated further clinically.

The @ReprodMed 2018 Committee Opinion is helpful, but each institution should strive to create their own policies with input from legal/ethics experts and reproductive urologists and endocrinologists. Thank you to @VICE for the chance to speak on this challenging issue!
