Using the Hour of Code to spark a passion for computer science @PotowmackES 💜 My 4th graders are earning some activity time at code.org. The students use Blockly coding, by reading directions, and dragging/dropping blocks to bring animation to their laptop screen.

#SuperTeacher @kthunstr led a M.A.TH. lesson today 💜🦅@PotowmackES… Rounding numbers up to the hundred thousands’ place… Students rotated in stations… Met with their teacher… spent time At their seat… used Technology and also Hands-on task cards.

Spent the last year as a middle school A.P. and this week as a sub for ELA at middle school Credit Recovery. When Ss finished their work today, my engaging go-to was @nearpod Time to Climb in student-paced mode for identifying genres, text evidence, point of view & inferencing.

Spent the day with @EmAre459, @DrMathena and @Mr_Oldfield planning iPad training for NMS teachers! We are officially and iPad school this year!!

@KyleHamstra Absolutely. So many educators find out so much when digging into the standards. Makes the focus of everything else we do intentional for learning. Can't set a target when we don't know what the standard is asking of learners in the first place.
