@ActualWolf I couldn’t get into this latest Weyes Blood album much but her last one was incredible. As for the latter, I like maybe half a dozen songs across their catalog but the lyrics on this latest one are so atrocious. He’s also a creep.

This #FossilFriday I am working on appendages! Eurypterid appendages show an incredible amount of variation, both in the form and distribution of spines and the shape and form of segments. Among the group you can find prey capture limbs, filtering limbs, paddles, and much more!

Well, I found the last 120 copies of Samuel Garman’s 1913 shark book ‘Plagiostomia’. The reprint run was 1000 copies and in grad school these boxes were my furniture. I wish I had done his deep sea fishes book as well.

For #FossilFriday we have the iconic coelacanth from @NHM_London collections. This is the holotype of Macropoma mantelli, which was from the Gideon Mantell Collection. It was figured in Smith Woodward's monograph, The Fossil fishes of the English Chalk (Part 5).
