My patient & I couldn’t honour a minute’s silence today for #NHSheroes who gave their lives; but we were told it was imminent. I had just removed her tracheostomy. At that vital minute she spoke for the first time in 3 weeks, “Thank you.” “You are welcome!” was my automatic reply
