really interesting discussion about language re ‘Challenging Behaviours’ at #UKDC2024. Couldnt decide better wording, but distressed and unmet needs are good. Best to simply describe what they did, without added emotional or negative bias.

I've got hugely mixed feelings about this. I hate the idea that because someone has a mental health diagnosis they can never make a decision like this, but to feel every option has been exhausted by 28? And have staff agree with you?

Thanks for missing me! I’ve been in hospital as I had a bit of an accident at home but it’s quite tiring to post. I’ve just escaped so now just need to recover ….they brought me Molly the therapy dog for a cuddle which made my day though..
