For those who are interested, my hearing loss began close to 30 years ago while still an Anglican priest. A dear parishioner asked me to pray for healing for her hearing loss and I found myself offering to take some of her hearing loss. After the prayers her hearing did not get worse, but mine started to go. Make of it what you will.

I went to Catholic school for 18 years and Catholic Mass for 18 years and literally never heard the Gospel. Not once. The first time I felt Jesus’ love for me in a church and came even close to understanding what that meant was at the late John MacArthur’s Grace Community. I was blown away at what I had been missing my whole life.

Christians, there is one Mediator. Not Mary, and not saints as Catholics may believe—Jesus Christ alone. “There is one God and one mediator between God and mankind, the man Christ Jesus” (1 Timothy 2:5).

12/12 So yes, His sacrifice was once and perfect. But in the Holy Mass and the Divine Liturgy, East and West alike, that one sacrifice is given to us. Christ is not re-crucified—He is eternally offered, and we, His Body, are drawn into His offering.

Random: I was curious to see how much of the New Testament could be pieced together from the writings of the church fathers, so I built a tool to visualize it. Of all the projects I’ve worked on, this one is the most meaningful. Just click on text in blue to be taken to a list of references. jennica.github.io/fathers/bible/…
