So someone stumbled upon an African gold mine of African books and intended to share it with others and some people shushed him down as it's a crime to share knowledge. Many of those books didn't even come from African libraries! Tufiakwa.

Nigerian Lady makes history as the first Black African female Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon (OMFS) from the University of Connecticut, United States. Meet Dr. Faith Ajiboye (B.MLS, MBA, MD, DMD). She overcame doubts and discouragement when many told her it was "impossible" and that she wasn’t "the type" for the field. After 14 years of higher education, including medical school, dental school, and OMFS residency, she has completed her training and is now a practicing Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon. A full-time OMF surgeon, mom of two young children, and pastoring a church alongside her husband, Dr. Faith remains deeply grateful for the journey. To every young dreamer: Don't be discouraged by how long or hard the road seems. Keep going, stay consistent, and never let anyone talk you out of your purpose. The sacrifice is always worth it.

Mrs Margaret Ekpo and Mrs Janet Mokelu, as Special Members in the Eastern House of Chiefs representing Aba and Enugu respectively, with Chief Nyong Essien, president of the Eastern House of Chiefs, c.1961. Janet Nwadiogo Mokelu (right) was a Nigerian politician, philanthropist, nurse, teacher, headmistress and businesswoman. She was able to distinguish herself as an educationist, a committed activist, a nationalist and one of the first Nigerian female lawmakers in the Eastern House of Assembly in Nigeria. Mrs Mokelu made various contributions towards the uplifting of women through her political activities and was a Nigerian feminist who pioneered several pieces of legislation, such as the one that mandated that married women be paid the same salary as their male counterparts. In 1949, when men of the Nigeria Police killed 21 miners who were protesting non-payment of mine allowance in Enugu, Mokelu mobilised the women and demonstrated against the killings. They demanded that the policemen involved in the shooting be prosecuted and executed. Janet Nwadiogo Mokelu believed strongly that all women should vote and be voted for, and her bills as a parliamentarian attest to these. Janet was born to Joseph and Margaret Onwuegbuzia of Umuagu quarters, Asaba, present-day Delta State, Nigeria, on February 7, 1910, and died #OnThisDay March 31, 2003. She was 93. #HistoryVille Photo Credit: Joliba Heritage and Culture

You go to a clinic in Lagos. Then a hospital in Abuja. Then a specialist in Port Harcourt. Each time, you start from scratch. New forms. Old stories retold. No shared record. This is what the absence of Electronic Health Records (EHRs) and interoperability looks like in practice. An EHR is simply your medical history, digitized, organized, and accessible to any authorized clinician treating you. One record. Everywhere you go. That's not a luxury. That's basic continuity of care. And we deserve it in Nigeria

That my name is “Obafemi” does not mean I am a Nigerian. Yoruba people that are non-Nigerians bear the name “Obafemi”. You can’t Nigerianize a name that is not exclusive to Nigeria. To avoid confusion and conflict the right caption should be “Everybody is doing the Obafemi strut by a (Yoruba-Nigerian) WWE wrestler. This will enable the world to know that this particular Obafemi you are referring to is from Nigeria. Names like Adebayo are prominent in Togo and Benin republic. Now imagine Adebayo, Arsenal legend! He is a Yoruba but not a Nigerian Yoruba. He is a Togolese-Yoruba. So, Obafemi is a Nigerian-Yoruba.

@DrSinbadNemo @AdewunmiGbeng14 I'm a Lagos born/raised, and Igbo by descent.. what's hard for y'all to understand.. a person can have dual citizenship, even more than that... It happens, he is Togolese and also Nigerian, he's Togolese by birth and Nigerian by descent, isn't that simple to understand?
