A few months ago, a newlywed couple came in for induction of labour. At first, the man was all smiles, gisting and making jokes. Fast forward to eight hours later, when labour was fully established. The drama started. As the contractions grew stronger, the woman screamed in pain l, and the man joined her. Before we knew it, the labour process had turned into a crying contest. When the woman was finally about to push, her husband burst into tongues. We had to send him out before giving the episiotomy, he was on the verge of a heart attack. Truly, it's not every man who can bear to watch their wives suffer. Kudos to such men. Unlike some Obi-akpọ husbands who scold their wives and call her names as if they themselves could bear the pain.

@Dr_Afo @Benkive You've also used Quora too? I remember using it back in 2016. At first, it was very good, I met interesting people there and even became mutuals with some of them. Eventually, the site turned to nonsense and my mutuals started leaving one after the other.

Everytime you ask; how do you grow your account. Someone will come and tell you to be dropping quality content at strategic time. Pls which quality content wey Abazz , Ruth or Seun or even Dami foreign don drop. I can mention some accounts here that put out good content as daily but they get far less engagement than the people I just mentioned above. I feel like X rewards mediocrity than intellectual conversations

Didn't they swear to save lives? No drugs in pharmacy? Doctor is the wicked one for prescribing what’s unavailable and expensive. Patient can’t afford treatment? Doctor should save lives first! Don't they know money is not as important as human lives. No equipment to work and operate in the theater? Doctor should adapt because this is not America! There is only 1 doctor to 100 patients? Doctors are too slow and nonchalant. They should write faster! Government underfunding the sector for decades? Doctors are too greedy🤧. They already earn higher than most civil servants! Doctors are leaving the country in droves? Doctors are unpatriotic for leaving after enjoying subsidized education. They should bond them for 5 years. Delayed presentation after herbal/home care complications? Doctor “killed” the patient and are nonchalant. Relatives refusing consent for life-saving surgery? Doctor didn’t explain well. They just want to cut people up and use them for practical. Patient arrives at 3AM for a condition they ignored for 3 weeks? Doctor is wicked for looking tired. Why will doctor be sleeping on duty? Goes on strike due to unpaid salaries? Doctors have no empathy and they want the masses to die. They are earning well already. Is everything money? Government officials flying abroad for treatment? Doctors left in Nigeria are the scum of medical school. They are too dull! They'll use Chatgpt to treat you. Meanwhile: Doctors are buying gloves with their own money. We are improvising life-saving care with limited tools. Surgeons are taking major procedures with minimal equipment and literally doing miracles with what they have. We are working 24–48 hour shifts like it’s normal. But yes, when anything goes wrong, even things completely outside the confines of medicine, people are always eager to point to the doctors. Anyway, let us keep blaming the doctor. We've always been the easier target. We all know fixing the actual system would require effort. And accountability. And we don’t do that here.
