I was going through my gallery, I stormed on this beautiful song by @Akon "Sunny day" This song gave me a nostalgic feeling, owing to the fact that I played this song on my last day in medical school after spending 9yrs of my life. I actually went to a private university, who as at that time hasn't gotten accreditation, thanks to Unzik that denied me admission and gave me Botany after scoring 285 in my first Jamb, and 69 in my Post UME.. Getting into the school as an 18yr old, who has so much enthusiasm. I was fired up to become a doctor that God has given me opportunity through "Madonna University". The school was filled with many rules and regulations which I failed multiple times. Being caged in the four walls was never an easy thing. Years pasted, we saw multiple set come and go. We were regarded as the old men of the school. Everyone, literally everyone knew us, though some respected us, but we kept pushing. After my first year more than half were screened out, but I survived. Before our second MBBS, the school had this culture of conducting Mock exam, though it has been abolished now. The mock will be used to screen people out. To God be the glory, I survived the mock and the 2nd MBBS exams and got into 400l, after spending 4yrs in school, but the journey was still far. At times it felt like it was never going to end,but we kept our heads up. As time went on, we scaled 3rd MBBS, 4th MBBS and got to final year. In my finals, was when the real temptation started. I happen to fail my medicine. As at that time, it felt like the world was ending. Fear gripped over me and I wondered whether I will ever graduate. As God will have it, I passed my resit exams. While I was in my room thanking God about how far he has brought me. I was reminiscing this song by @Akon "Who ever thought that I would see this day Where I would see my ghetto life(Madonna University) fade away. Cause I was lost and couldn't find a way And now I look forward to everyday. That was the time the song made sense to and I appreciated every wordings from the song because it actually made my day. Now the next time I will appreciate the song once again in the highest level is when I finally leave Nigeria for good. I pray that, the day I will cherish so much, will find me once more. Thank you @Akon for giving us wonderful songs. Songs that still live fresh in our hearts.
