Is a 30-ms pre-QRS activation time in epicardial or intramural sites sufficient to guide anatomical or chemical ablation for OTVAs? Our experience with extensive coronary venous system mapping using a dual OTW microelectrode catheter technique is now published in @hrs_journal.

Loss of SCN5A coupled gating (p.G833R/p.T1396P) leads to severe bradycardia, suggesting coupled gating is physiologically vital, not just a negative effect #Epeeps doi.org/10.1161/CIRCEP…

I think of this whenever I see a trainee post about having 10+ abstracts accepted to a single conference. To me, that many abstracts is almost always a red flag. Research for the sole purpose of publication or CV padding without actually aiming to advance science is a travesty.
Samer Al Hadidi, MD,MS,FACP@HadidiSamer

Check our viewpoint published @JAMA_current #MedEd Abstract Factory—Research Culture Harming Medical Education The "abstract factory" is destroying medical education. Trainees and junior faculty compete with abstract counts instead of meaningful research. Result: inflated CVs, diluted conferences. We shouldn't celebrate this—you don't need publications to be a great doctor. ➡️jamanetwork.com/journals/jama/… @utswcancer @rajshekharucms @HiraSMian @ManniMD1 @HemOncFellows @ASCOTECAG

Matched into Electrophysiology at UTSW. Grateful for my mentors, my family, and above all God for guiding every step. This feels far from where I started, and I’m thankful for the journey ahead. On to the next chapter. ⚡️
