@olsonplanner @MOHELA I had the same problem! Took me >4 months to fix. What worked best for me was uploading a copy of my diploma on the Mohela website (under the add supporting documents tab) and calling their customer service line to let them know the deferment was in error/ I had proof

Dear @MOHELA A physician I know has been going back and forth with you and her school to rectify an erroneous indicator of “in-school deferment” for several weeks. Both you and the school are saying the other needs to fix it. I know you all are very busy and your efforts are appreciated. How can we contact someone to fix this without having to wait on hold for hours, only to be sent to voicemail? This doctor works 70+ hours a week and has poured every free moment into being on hold with your company in an effort to resolve this. She’s trying consolidate her loans before the 12/31/2023 IDR waiver deadline, and time is running out! This one loan is marked as in-school and she most definitely is NOT in school anymore. Please help!! 🙏🏼

Trying to consolidate my student loans and get on an income driven repayment plan has been an absolute nightmare!!!! Constantly cycled between my medical school, MOHELA, and AidVantage with no answers or resolution

🚨 PSA 🚨 If you haven’t picked an income-driven repayment plan yet, you MUST do so now if you don’t want your loans put on the standard 10 year repayment plan come September - which is likely to be a multi-thousand dollar payment if you borrowed for med school. Get this done!

Oh you’re going to a teaching hospital in July? Well get ready… for the most compassionate care from extremely empathetic interns along with their vigilant supervising attendings. Hope you like open ended questions and doctors listening to you bc you’re gonna drown in it.
