Intresting short article in @NatureMedicine discussing the decline in clinical academics in the UK and US. Another issue, not discussed, is the failure to recognise all the components of the job equally, clinical/research/teaching. The interests of Universities and the NHS are not the same and clinical academics suffer as a result. @StephenORahilly

How do we grow the geris research workforce without more training spots? @GeriSoc #RADC Did a ctrl F of jobs (so may not be 100% accurate but you get the gist) and it looks like there’s 19 geris ACF posts across the UK. Much less than some others eg. 44 posts in psych! (2/n)
