@FXMC1957 I'd not yet seen it when I turned up to do my first scene. All I knew was that it was set in Liverpool. They had to tell me to drop the scouse accent. I stayed for 4 enjoyable years, smiling politely every time someone called it The One Din Line and screamed with laughter

15 October 1971. The 1st episode of the BBC drama series, The Onedin Line, was broadcast. It was set in Liverpool from 1860 to 1886, revolving around a fictional shipping company. There were 8 series, totalling 91 episodes until 26 October 1980.

@fxcoudert @PubPeer As an editor I keep seeing submissions like this. Any time there is any doubt, I just ask the authors to supply the raw data as it was obtained from the instrument eg Bruker .raw file. Legitimate authors will supply real data. Others have problems... Ask for the raw data!

@RichardJMurphy Gratuitously rude seems like a fair interpretation.

This idiot is our health secretary. She thinks 'junior doctors' are 'doctors in training'. The reality is that they are all hospital doctors who are not consultants - in other words, the majority of all doctors, and many of them have considerable experience. Is she being deliberately insulting, or is she just gratuitously rude?

Not really my area (EDX) but I have a suspicion something may not be right...
