@BowesChay The word "performance" is way too meaningful to describe how that dude represents Germans.

@sultanwho If that's winning, I wonder what losing would look like for UAE.

@DD_Geopolitics Quite tough to find a new job in this market! I'd say the same thing if I were in his shoes.

Mark Rutte agrees with Trump that some NATO countries have "failed to meet their commitments," when it comes to Iran.
However, he says one interesting thing: Rutte claims NATO is supposed to be a platform for U.S. power projection.
We all know that is true in practice; however, it’s not supposed to be. NATO’s official, on-paper mandate is to be a “defensive alliance focused on collective security.”
So thank you, Rutti Frutti, for clearing that up and saying the quiet part out loud.

🇺🇸 Guess the meeting with Mark Rutte didn't go so well...

@hypesoleth @oh1mdorry @AryJeay > closed Hormuz
True. It's a relief to see Iranians standing by their word and not abandoning Lebanon.
English

@oh1mdorry @Dr__Defiant @AryJeay they closed the strait of hormuz and contacted pakistan to notify of a retaliation retard

@RaniaKhalek Iran may negotiate a ceasefire with the US excluding Israel.
Once the US is out of the game, Iran can deal with Israel with a different language: missiles.
English

If Iran continues these negotiations after being lied to about Lebanon, they will only be empowering the Americans and Israelis to come after them again.

@HalaJaber Exalted to see Iranians stood by their word and didn't abandon Lebanon.

Strait of Hormuz re closed. The deal is hanging by a thread.
Iran has re-closed the Strait of Hormuz.
Despite Trump’s announcement of a two-week suspension, tanker traffic through the Strait has been shut down again.
The reason is clear. Todays massive Israeli barrage, over 150 coordinated strikes across Lebanon in just 10 minutes, including heavy bombing in the heart of Beirut, is seen by Tehran as a direct violation of the framework.
Iran’s position is consistent: it insists Lebanon must be part of any real agreement. No separate fronts. Any real deal must include a full ceasefire on all fronts, including an immediate end to Israeli attacks across Lebanon, while negotiations happen in Islamabad.
Lebanon is not a side issue. It is part of the package. The scale of today’s assault makes that clearer than ever.
The limited safe passage offered earlier today has already been withdrawn.
Trump is trying to spin this as progress. The reality on the ground tells a different story. Heavy strikes in Beirut, a re closed Strait, and both sides still fully armed.
The Pakistani mediated two week window is under immediate and severe stress. The next few days will decide whether this fragile pause holds or collapses back into open escalation.

@abierkhatib I've heard of the cure: "Nuremberg 2", a new Iranian missile to be unveiled soon.

We need a new Nuremberg trial, urgently

Sanction Israel. Sanction Israel like you sanction Russia.
English

@Ansarii_rahim There's another reason (or a by-product): Incentivising the US and the West to stay out of the Iran-Israel war.
English

@JmyLss So true.
It's astonishing how it applies to Trump in particular.

@DanielLMcAdams That's what *may* have been the aim of the ceasefire.
To incentivises the US to stay out of the war on Israel.
At least that's what I hope.
English

It's all over for Israel. This war was their last shot.

Pew Poll: Dislike of Americans for Israel & Netanyahu Rising Sharply A growing share of Americans are turning away from Israel & its leadership, with a new Pew survey revealing a widening backlash - especially among youngsters - as frustration builds over war, leadership, & the direction of U.S. foreign policy. clashreport.com/world/articles…

@cirnosad Zarif and Araghchi being who they are, I think this ceasefire *may* make sense if we see it as a means to separate the twins US and Israel.
Now, Israel is (almost) left alone. There's a chance, Iran brings a different kind of destruction on them.
At least that's what I hope.
