CEO of Football - left Sporting Director - leaving Manager - 2 year contract Whichever way you dress it up that is piss poor. No longevity anywhere. Klopp said once players want certainty over these things hence he signed his extension early. Alot to do in the window. Bleak.

🇵🇹 I think the market right now means there isn’t really a ‘Mo Salah at Roma type’ signing for Liverpool. Instead they have to find their ‘Mo Salah at Basel type’ signing. What I mean by that is to look outside of the top five leagues. One player who would be on my shortlist is Carlos Forbs. 23 G/As last season, including 5 G/As in 9 UCL games. ⚡️ He’s incredibly fast. Makes good vertical runs behind defences but also a good one vs one player with quick feet who can change direction, make clever feints and glide past defenders with ease. Last season he completed 65% of his dribbles - the most out of any player in the Jupiler Pro League who averaged at least 4 dribbles per 90 minutes. 📊 He’s excellent at making cut-backs and going down the touchline. Averaged the 5th most passes into the penalty area (4.25 per 90 minutes) and 0.25 xA per 90 in all competitions. Only 22-years-old, I think he still has room to grow off the ball defensively and physically he could use his body better - he is small in stature but I still feel like sometimes he loses physical duels that he shouldn’t. So I’m not saying Forbs is perfect. Liverpool don’t really have a perfect option in the market right now. However, he does have potential and a profile that would suit Andoni Iraola’s style of play. His speed could bring a new threat to Liverpool in transition and his ability to supply passes and cut-backs into the box is something that could provide Isak with a lot of chances. Always appreciate a character that has been written off and bounced back as well. Didn’t get the opportunities he should have at Wolves. Similar to Vitinha. Or Salah at Chelsea. There aren’t many RWs (particularly left footed ones) in the market right now. Forbs is one I would keep an eye on alongside Yankuba Minteh.

Got embarrassed by Zubimendi and Diomonde. Couldn’t agree deals for Trent, Konate or Jones, that’s about £200 million worth of talent leaving on a free. Seems to have fallen out with club legends such as Salah and Robertson. Cheerio fella

@MikeMongie Stop looking at the single figure, look at it over the length of the contract and wages. Munoz for example is two installments i.e. £16mil per year, which is tiny, it's a Chiesa sale.

🇫🇷 Jeremy Jacquet - £60m 🇪🇸 Victor Munoz - £34.6m 🇨🇮 Yan Diomande - around £100m if signed Liverpool are already looking at a £200m spend before any sales are made 🤯 Makes it all the more damaging that Salah, Robertson and Konate are all leaving for a fat £0....

He doesn't have the ability to play centre forward. He could play off a striker, but not as the striker.

More on Víctor Muñoz and Liverpool. #LFC have triggered Muñoz's €40m clause with the fee to be paid in two instalments. Richard Hughes and Michael Edwards worked discretely for some time in order to pull off the deal. Newcastle were in advanced talks, but Liverpool also won the race ahead of interest from Manchester United and Bayer Leverkusen. And Real Madrid explored bringing Muñoz back but concerns over playing time made this a non-starter. Muñoz was discussed with Andoni Iraola in early squad planning conversations allowing the club to move quickly. The appeal is in Muñoz's ability to play left and right wing as well as centre-forward. This versatility also makes Liverpool feel Rio Ngumoha will still to get opportunities. Medical done on Wednesday after permission granted by the RFEF with Liverpool staff flying out to the United States. Muñoz has agreed a six-year contract. Meanwhile, it is likely Federico Chiesa departs, even though his style is well-suited to Iraola's system. Italian is looking for regular minutes.🔴

Which brings us to his hold-up ability. One thing I would like to point out here is that a rating of 51, for a 23 year old, among all winger profiles in the T5 Leagues is quite good. He does well at holding onto the ball for longer durations in the final third. He is quite good at drawing fouls, decent at avoiding tackles. Progression in these situation is mostly dependent on his carrying. Passing, even when he has time on the ball in the final third, is under-developed/raw. Promising list of similar players. (3/7)

Víctor Muñoz brings a lot to the table. Direct, quick and decent with the ball at his feet. He is still VERY raw and has lots to improve but the versatility and promise that he is shows is exciting. He was among the best ball carriers in La Liga (5th), a league with the likes of Yamal, Vini, Kubo etc. But it's the action after these carries that needs improvement. As can be seen in the visuals below, he gets the ball into the box (high penetration rating) but most of the crosses/passes he puts after that are unsuccessful. While he has had some success from the left, his passing from the right has been mostly unsuccessful. A couple of positive things (footnotes of the carrying card): -0.21 xT per 90 from his carrying alone. -High Speed rating, covers an average of 3.8m with a median carry time of 3s. Really good at those long strides/carries in space. (1/7)

If Spurs do end up getting both Senesi and Hecke, their CB partnership will be quite interesting to say to least. Both ball playing monsters and to an extent, their ball playing profiles are quite complementary to each other.

Exclusive: Paris Saint-Germain have proposed multiple players to Liverpool during exploratory talks between the two clubs this summer. Illia Zabarnyi, Lucas Beraldo and Warren Zaïre-Emery have all been discussed, with PSG’s most concrete proposal involving a loan-to-buy deal for Zabarnyi worth around £57M. Liverpool are currently prioritising other midfield targets, including Bournemouth youngster Alex Scott.

I'll tell you a LFC midfielder who won't suit Iraola in the slightest. Curtis Jones. One of the main things he expects from his players is to move the ball quickly. Jones is one of the slowest players in possession I've ever seen. He is defo off this Summer. Sell him & use the money for likes of Fernandes and Scott 👍

@rudkin_abigail Not really, our best working model was signing players on the cusp of turning elite, letting them earn the big wage rather than giving it to them straight away. The team has lost its fight and desire, it’s become a spice boys era again

Surely letting the amount of players go on a free that we have isn’t a sustainable financial model? And you can argue we save their wages when they leave, but the next guy to come in is going to want similar money. Everything feels last minute.

@baggingpips Worst cherry pick ever, Trent had started moves to leave before Klopp had even thought to leave. The Salah 1 year deal looks pretty spot on. You missed, Kerkez, Ekitike, Wirtz signings. Gakpo isn't on £250k stop reading shit online web sites.

Let's talk Richard Hughes. Signed Chiesa. Got shat on by Zubimendi. Only wanted to offer 1 yr contracts to VVD & Mo. Couldn't persuade Trent to stay. Had his pants pulled down for Isak. Gave new 250k pw deals to Grav & Gakpo. Can't persuade Konate to sign. Massive failure.

He's fucking 24. Him being a "highly rated teenager" is just very funny. 5 good months in the last 5 years. But it's grand because when he was 18 he was highly rated.
Henry Jackson@HenryJackson87

@RoryGreenfield Think it's a bit hyperbolic to say he "can barely pass it". Was one of Europe's most highly-rated teenagers! But I agree he could do more with it. Also, is he just doing what his manager is asking? Agree he needs to be better off the ball.
