@RockDoc66 For some it was family ties, for others language. My understanding from the limited info I've looked at is that asylum benefits are comparable across a lot of European countries, so perception likely plays a big role too.

@RockDoc66 is the just an example of an overly simplistic hot take mate. This has nothing to do with changes to winter fuel allowance and everything to do with a co-ordinated attack on any form of tolerance in the UK.
