@mhdksafa As far as I'm concerned you're welcome. Your faith shouldn't affect that, only your behaviour - which should be judged on *your* actions, and your actions alone.

@rollo75 @thechosenberg You must have grown up on different estates to the ones I did then. *Every* house on the estate had a shed (converted from a coal house/external toilet).

@rollo75 @thechosenberg You walk into your parents' shed, and pick up their shears that they use for cutting their hedge or their garden, and then walk off with them. Not entirely difficult.

@thechosenberg Q: If you are an 8 year old kid on a housing estate... how do you get shears? This story seems just slightly too weird to be plausible.

Somebody wrapped their Cybertruck in Mirror Rose Gold and put matching 30 inch dual tone wheels on it. Thoughts?

@BSmithBenS Is that post claiming that just because someone wears their hair long on the left or has their left bangs over their eye that they're *automatically* hiding a palsy, not merely using a still fashionable hairstyle?

Jasmine claims that half the people at the dental clinic have left sided Bell’s Palsy. “I would just take it in and think, my goodness, they got a bad batch” 🤦🏻‍♂️ I’ll file that in the tray labelled, Absolute bullshit.

@CS1_1SC @clownworld Singular they is a thing in english. You even used it in your tweet. But.. "I'm expecting a call from my new doctor tomorrow. They want to discuss some test results before I come in for an appointment." "I'm meeting our new hire tomorrow, and will be starting to train them."

@clownworld I am still stuck on why any individual person wants to be called a plural.....? I can not wrap my head around that. Why would someone want another person to use the English language incorrectly to describe them?

@TaraBull808 Depends how long it takes to clear the footings and remnants of the old bridge, to put the new bridge contract out to tender, to order the materials, and to build any new footings and repair any old ones they're reusing. Then it's probably relatively quick once it's set up.

@JueJuemasson05 @BladeoftheS Who do they give it back to? In the cases where there are records of who the land belonged to before the conquest, it belonged to people who'd conquered that land or inherited it from conquerors. In other cases there's no record of who the heirs to the land would be.

Most of the UK's land was originally taken by the King who gave nothing for it. It was then sold or bequeathed to Lords, and more than 80% is still in the hands of these same people. Who have never paid anything for the millions or billions of pounds worth that they own.

@juliefr88667164 @PoliticsJOE_UK Not all the copies of Magna Carta are identical, and even if they were, risking losing one of a limited number of copies of a priceless artifact is still something that should be avoided.

NEW: Just Stop Oil have broken the class protecting the Magna Carta. Reverend Dr Sue Parfitt, 82, and Judy Bruce, 85, are demanding an emergency plan to stop new oil and gas licenses by 2030.

@harveyldj93 @DaveRSport @dirk1978 @PoliticsJOE_UK The glass is part of a set of protections around the document, including keeping it in a stable, protective envronment. Breaking the case exposes the document to the general range of temperature and humidity in the room, and if the change is sudden this can be harmful to it.

@juliefr88667164 @PoliticsJOE_UK Breaking the protective cabinet risks damage to a priceless historical artifact. If the case had shattered then the Magna Carta was at risk from glass shards, the chisel, no longer being in a climate controlled protective environment and so on.

@PoliticsJOE_UK Really impressive seeing two elderly women doing this. I’m against anything which would actually damage a historical artifact but this was obviously about the symbolism of the Magna Carta & no damage was done.

@clownworld If this was normal road conditions I'd say the cyclist - since you're meant to give way to oncoming traffic when joining a lane. However, as this is during a race that's meant to have closed roads, it's whoever was policing the barrier that is at fault.

@BuckRight No. My family aren't French. But that style of building is something that skilled craftsmen were capable of, and are still capable of - if you're willing to pay enough. Most people aren't.

Bike parking — followed by outdoor dining — generates the most revenue for local businesses, nearly double the amount generated from on-street private car storage 👏 We need to inform local businesses of these facts, but also need SFMTA to make quick decisions based off of them.
