@Lil_Sammy89 This is such a foreign concept to me. I cringe seeing myself in mirrors let alone picture

“There is a crime here that goes beyond denunciation. There is a sorrow here that weeping cannot symbolize. There is a failure here that topples all our success. The fertile earth, the straight tree rows, the sturdy trunks, and the ripe fruit. And children dying of pellagra must die because a profit cannot be taken from an orange. And coroners must fill in the certificate- died of malnutrition- because the food must rot, must be forced to rot. The people come with nets to fish for potatoes in the river, and the guards hold them back; they come in rattling cars to get the dumped oranges, but the kerosene is sprayed. And they stand still and watch the potatoes float by, listen to the screaming pigs being killed in a ditch and covered with quick-lime, watch the mountains of oranges slop down to a putrefying ooze; and in the eyes of the people there is the failure; and in the eyes of the hungry there is a growing wrath. In the souls of the people the grapes of wrath are filling and growing heavy, growing heavy for the vintage.”

So he has to play on the women’s team, but also has to stop medically transitioning just to play? This isn’t a good thing.
It’s literally just a win for the terfs

If you love #Prey, this is your annual reminder.
PLAY THE MOONCRASH DLC!
Elliott 🪐@MrEvil37
This trailer still absolutely rips. #PreyMooncrash is Arkane Austin at their most creative and their most daring. It’s a roguelike immersive sim that shakes up #Prey’s systems in efficient, clever and chaotic ways. Mooncrash is both follow-up and remix, and it’s extraordinary.

@Cruxador @AesirAesthetics In what way specifically? Characters that are the point of view but are delusional? Or the horror of the plays supposed effects.
If it’s the former I’d say Raskolnikov’s mental breakdown in Crime and Punishment is far better.

@Drevseni @AesirAesthetics I disagree that the Repairer of Reputations has been outdone though, and if you have an example of a story which does so, please share it

reading the King in Yellow is one of the classic mistakes
Kieron 🌿@WYLDERSSWORD
big couple of years for media inspired by The King in Yellow. i've got to read this book ASAP

@AesirAesthetics Funnily enough, considering he was inspired by tKiY it's like comparing Lovecraft to Junji Ito.
English

@AesirAesthetics It's a foundational text for the genre, unfortunately only a 3rd is actually in the genre. The rest is "French Decadence"
It's also been so outdone by those that were inspired by it that reading it feels derivative/trope-y despite being the original.

@Solar_Sas I’ve had a couple of the older botanical sets have pieces snap while just sitting on my shelf
