If you're anti-abolition, I'd encourage you to perform a simple exercise: search through the Bible for the word justice (blueletterbible makes this really easy, I'd look at the pentateuch, Proverbs, and the prophets) and answer the questions: 1. What does God demand of his people regarding justice? 2. What does God do to those who pervert or deny justice? Then ask: What, biblically, is justice for abortion, the murder of a human being created in the image of God to whom God has given life? If you did the work, you know it is unbiblical, even sinful, to advocate for or celebrate anything less than true justice. That is abolitionism. Quit letting the arguments or behaviors of men hold sway in your position towards abolition. What does God's word say? @DustyDeevers @haymes_joshua @AbolitionRising @BenZeisloft @douglaswils

Houston area midwife Maria Rojas is the first person charged under Texas pro-life law since Dobbs. A woman she performed an abortion on reported her. That cooperation is exactly how illegal providers get stopped, as Texas AG @KenPaxtonTX noted in his news release, “Texas law protecting life is clear, and we will hold those who violate it accountable.” click2houston.com/news/local/202… AG News Release: texasattorneygeneral.gov/news/releases/…

Lord Jesus, break the Mormons from the grasp of their false religion. Tear down their temples and bring to a swift end their teachers. Dry up the fruit of their lands and wombs. Protect your church from their deceit and venom meant to lead astray your people.

As Mormons, we must be totally honest. Creedalists do worship a Jesus Christ. It's just not the Jesus Christ revealed in the Bible. It is a Jesus Christ that was invented by councils of men and who is not like the one in the Bible. Thus, they are not Biblical Christians.

@TXAlliance4Life @TXAlliance4Life would not charge an Islamic man with murder if he honor killed his daughter if he had been brought up to believe that it wasn't murder. They pervert justice to line their own pockets.

Under the Abolitionists' equal protection framework, no pro-life laws have ever been passed. Their supporters are on record opposing the Human Life Protection Act, and HB 7, which protect life in Texas today. The Human Life Protection Act forced all abortion providers to cease performing abortions or face steep penalties — up to 99 years in prison, $100,000 in civil penalties, and loss of medical license. HB 7 provides another means to hold illegal chemical abortion drug traffickers accountable. Consider what the Abolitionists' approach would mean for Texas today if they had succeeded in their opposition to our pro-life laws: every surgical or chemical abortion provider would still be operating on Texas soil. Planned Parenthood would still be performing abortions. This Houston Planned Parenthood facility would still be open for business, taking innocent unborn lives. The baby recently aborted because he had Down Syndrome — that 21-week abortion would have been legal in Texas, where it is not today. And we would have no laws to hold illegal abortion providers or abusive partners who force abortion drugs on women accountable. Illegal abortion drugs funneling into Texas from out of state, circumventing our laws are a problem. The answer is not punishing the women that the out-of-state providers prey on. The answer is federal action to shut down their pipeline, such as through enforcing the Comstock Act, or by the FDA removing the mail-order mifepristone option, in order to protect Texas babies, and respect the will of our state.

Latter-day Saints are among the most patriotic, service-oriented individuals in our country. They are also unequivocally Christian—just look at who is in the name of the Church. It is unacceptable for a government entity to characterize a faith in a manner that contradicts the religion’s own foundational tenets. I am working now to ensure a correction is made.

The Office of the Secretary of War is announcing a significant change to the Department’s categorization of religious affiliation. In a long overdue move, we reduced the list from over 200 unmanageable categories to 31. With this move, we are returning to the original intent of collecting this data - to allow our chaplains and religious support personnel to provide the best spiritual care to our warfighters. This decrease in religious affiliation codes is not designed to make any claims on the legitimacy of any faith or religious belief, nor is it intended to provide a list of “officially approved” religions. Rather, it is designed to allow chaplains to quickly look at the religious composition of their units and determine how they structure resources to best provide for warfighters of all faith groups. The Department of War places a high value on the First Amendment and the free exercise of religion. Chaplains play an instrumental role in providing spiritual care and facilitating the Warfighters' ability to freely exercise their religion of choice, or no religion at all. With this new change, we believe we can provide the best data to support our chaplains in that effort.

If you deny Jesus is the eternal one true God as He said that about the Father, you deny the Christian faith. It's the same with John 1, "the Word was with God and the Word was God." There was only, is only, and ever will be only one true God. The Father is God. The Son is God. The Spirit is God. And yet none of the Father, Son, or Spirit are the others.

The mercy of the wicked is cruel. May God grant us righteous rulers who will bring about justice, the death penalty, for murderers such as these.

This week, my wife and I made the very difficult decision to terminate the pregnancy due to Trisomy 21. The choice was not made lightly. We really appreciate all of the personal stories that you guys shared with us, especially the unconditional support we received from fans with no matter what we decided. I know some of you may be very disappointed to hear this news. We are devastated. This has been extremely traumatic for both of us, especially Ashley. She underwent the procedure earlier this week and is on the mend. Thankfully, everything went smoothly, but emotionally we are drained. Trisomy 21, also known as Down Syndrome, is caused by an extra chromosome. It is caused by an error in cell division, like a glitch. The odds of a baby having it is 1 in 1000. When I first confronted this news, I was shocked but optimistic. If they’re a little slow intellectually, then we’ll make it work. I signed on to be a parent, come what may…but I just didn’t fully understand what Down Syndrome entailed. Once we made it public, it became clear that MOST people don’t know what Down Syndrome entails (and no, it’s not the same as Autism): 50% of babies with DS have heart defects. 75% will have hearing challenges. Over 50% will have vision problems. Impaired immune function, developmental disabilities, learning disabilities, delayed physical development, poor muscle tone, structural issues with face, decreased lifespan, etc…Sadly, the list is long, feel free to look it up…Down Syndome isn’t a “blessing”, it is objectively shitty from a health perspective. I didn’t realize just how rough it is for the child, let alone the family…more often than not, they would be fully dependent on others for the rest of their life. The miscarriage risk is also close to 50%, which made matters worse…they may never see the light of day and it puts Ashley further at risk. We spoke with doctors, friends, family and genetic counselors and learned that up to 90% of women terminate their pregnancy after learning the baby has Trisomy 21. This was WAY higher than I expected, I thought it would be lower given that I hear so many say they kept or would keep the baby. I believe that’s because most terminations happen privately, it feels shameful. A lot of judgment being cast. You never think you’d be in this type of situation until it happens to you and then things change. To all of my fans who have weighed in on this topic who have Autism, Down Syndrome or any other conditions…we appreciate you. You matter a lot and we’re glad you’re here. I commend you and your families for having the strength and courage to push forward. As for us, we made a difficult decision that we believe in the long-run will be beneficial for our family. Thankfully, we had a choice. It will take a little time to move on, but we are excited to try again in the future and hopefully have a better outcome. Love you guys & thank you for understanding. ❤️

@Brent_Hobbs Of course it isn't. They're still free to be autonomous. But an association of other autonomous churches may autonomously choose not to associate with an autonomous church that autonomously goes against Scripture.

@LukithunderEWC @bartbarber No everyone has the choice. Just not a right. At least, not a God-given intrinsic right, something intrinsic to human nature.

If you only have a choice to worship Jesus and nothing else that's no choice at all, not to mention it doesn't work anyway since forced conversion is only going to lead to a lot of false converts seeing how they may profess not because they believe in Him but because they want to avoid state persecution.

I would argue that's wrong. God-given rights are intrinsic. We have God-given right to worship God because He is the Creator and because we bear His image. Man has no right to create idols or deny God, even if he has been given a choice to do so and be a fool and condemned. And when Baptists say rightly that God is Lord of the conscience, we should simultaneously affirm alongside Paul that the worship of false Gods and all immoral behavior has already gone against the conscience, which is why, historically, Baptists have affirmed that matters of the conscience pertain to those inside the Christian faith, since anything not of faith is sin.

@DrewKingma @bartbarber Yes, and the consequence for that is eternal separation from God after death, you can call it choice or rights or whatever, but on this side of glory God made it our choice, which is why our laws reflecting that choiced nature of this is a good thing.

@Faith_is_Works @ThoughtfulSaint Notice "the only true God": the Greek for only meaning alone, a single in an entire class. Only one God. And yet Jesus is God. Separate persons enjoying full fellowship, yet in "the only true God". There is no salvation in any other god, for it would be false among many.

Giving us a choice does not equal giving us a right. I have a choice to speed or not speed-does that mean I have a right to speed? "God is now commanding men that everyone everywhere should repent" -Acts 17:30b God has given a command, is it our choice or our right to disobey? If it were our right, given from God, we would not be condemned before Him for it.
