Dear @JDMahama, FORMAL PETITION TO THE PRESIDENT OF THE REPUBLIC OF GHANA Your Excellency, I write as a concerned citizen to formally raise issues of judgment, discipline, and accountability regarding the conduct of the Greater Accra Regional Minister, who was present at a late-night entertainment reality programme that extended beyond 1 a.m. into a Monday workday, despite holding a senior executive public office. While holders of public office are entitled to private lives, Regional Ministers occupy positions that demand exceptional discipline, sound judgment, and constant readiness to discharge official responsibilities. Attendance at a non-official entertainment programme deep into a working day raises legitimate concerns about prioritisation, professional discretion, and the standards expected of high-ranking government appointees. Public confidence in governance is sustained not only by legality, but by visible accountability, restraint, and respect for the demands of office. Actions that create reasonable doubt about these values undermine trust in public administration and weaken confidence in executive leadership. In the interest of accountability, good governance, and maintaining the integrity of public office, I respectfully request that this matter be reviewed and that appropriate steps be taken to reaffirm standards of discipline expected of senior government officials.
