I always want to lift up hard working, passionate people and make them feel like what they are doing is worth it. Even if you might think you created something useless, ugly, or unprofitable- it's badass because YOU made it. And you're awesome. 💎

The saddest truth about the produce industry. All of the wasted food. We work directly with our local foodbank for what we can afford to send but unfortunately much still gets wasted. Who is to blame for this? The consumer that picks over each and ever piece of produce that isn’t picture perfect. One small crack in a tomato and no one wants it. It doesn’t hurt the integrity, quality, or safety of the produce. Yet, time and time again our customers (retailers) will turn away imperfect produce. It costs us 8 dollars between growing, picking, packing, and the cost of the box for each box of tomatoes. To donate these it costs us 8 dollars a box. So we do what we can. And are forced to leave the rest on the ground. As a consumer 🫵 you can help stop this. Your produce doesn’t need to be spotless to taste good. Pass it on.
