@DriveKickSwing My memories with Paul George are greater. WCF meant a lot to me. I’m indifferent, but honestly the only reason I’d put Kawhi higher is peer pressure from others. I honestly might have Paul higher just cause of those 2 rounds

Paul George isn’t a top 3 clipper of all time to most of us but I do agree he deserves the most credit for our 2021 playoff run

Paul George the only person to ever drag your franchise anywhere close to the finals. Best player in the history of the Clippers. Complete failures without him and he was a hero for his real home in Philly. You gotta reflect on that.

@HoopsWithJayy @DimeDropperPod I have him #3 behind Blake and CP3 ... Blake and CP3 established us and PG is the only player to ever carry us to the WCF ... if he didnt slander us on the way out id be the biggest PG fan you could think of. Instead, he gets the Elton Brand treatment

@DimeDropperPod I love KD but looking through a realistic lens everything you said is true. Plus the odds of BOTH Kawhi and KD staying healthy for a playoff push is just so unlikely.

To me this is all fairy tale stuff. 2 guys who do a lot of the same things, neither is a true vocal leader, both struggle to play out of double teams, both are old, and we’d be doubling down on old again.
And then there’s the drama that comes with KD. I would steer clear imo

23’ish teams would be interested in KD, but Clips 1 of the 1s where it’d be mutual interest. Short deal, older, clips tried to get him, Kawhi tried too. the chance to bring LAC their 1st ever chip is a legacy play that trumps his post GSW stuff. & he’d join a top 5 tier player.

@djf_primal KD and Kawhi would be fun to watch but you’re completely right. And the chances of BOTH of them staying healthy for any kind of playoff run is so low. I’m ok with keeping Kawhi but the pair would just be to put fans in seats.

People that want KD on this team just to keep Kawhi is so aggravating bro. Like damn. Move tf on! He’s getting older and your gonna blow a golden opportunity to sell high and quite possibly create a brand new window to compete with younger talent that has already shown great promise

@JamCristopher @Blacklagoonirl I agree. Unless somehow he is the 3rd best player on our team but at that point it’s too expensive. Imo Steph is the only small guard in the past decade to be able to be the first or second option on a contender.

Some are telling me that DG is our PG for the future and while I’m a fan I don’t 100% see it that way

said it before - Imo healthy DG is talented enough to be a different tier of PG. But

DG as the PG for the future, I’m a fan but that’s not a lock. Def a potential asset. Interesting summer.
