@WallStreetApes Remember what’s they said about @Apple iPhone and the virtual keyboard? How did that work out?

CEO of Citadel Ken Griffin says that Data Center spend this year alone is set to be half a trillion dollars, $500 billion
He says that AI is useful in some areas but it’s not worth the investment, he says a lot of what it produces “It’s all garbage”
“Data center spent in the United States this year, over half a trillion dollars, like over $500 billion. You're not gonna generate this kind of spend unless you're gonna make a promise. You're gonna profoundly change the world. So is it hype? Of course
— In certain areas, we know it's gonna be profound, whether it's call centers, whether it's helping to improve the productivity of software engineers, but in a number of white collar jobs, you know, there was a, there was a recent Harvard paper on this, they called it AI work Slop, that it looks good, but if you sort of peel back the onion, the substance isn't there.
I was with one of my colleagues who runs our commodities business and they, he handed a report on that we were generated with an AI engine. Doesn't matter what the topic was, the first few sentences, like, wow, that's, that's really insightful. And then you go down below that and it's all garbage.”

@DrivenSports @zerohedge Private credit isn't publicly traded, so no direct short on the GS fund. But GS and JPM now offer hedge funds custom baskets/indexes of listed proxies like BDCs and alt managers with heavy private credit exposure—perfect for betting against the sector as a whole.

@GrantCardone @JakeGagain It’s like comparing tee ball to swimming under water without needing to come up for air…ever…but you’re not a fish.
English

This is the problem with opinions if you don’t have the experience thru the levels you’re just opining, which is fine…. But $2-3m and a house paid for compared to Elon is like comparing tee ball to Major League Baseball. Or paper planes to space travel Elon has helped thousands of families become millionaires. the millionaire next door you describe will struggle funding their parents assisted living. One major health problem can Bankrupt a 3m household. None lasui. One divorce. No offense but you’re being very naive
English

Here is a secret for you.
After you make your first $2-3 million, pay off your home & have a nice car to drive, there is no difference in the quality of life between you & Elon Musk.
Both of you have a limited amount of time on Earth. You have twice if not more than Elon, so you're technically richer than him.
A pizza is a pizza whether a billionaire eats it or you do.
Money is nothing but digital numbers on a screen.
Real life is outdoors.
Spending quality time with your family & friends.
Become financially independent; that's usually 2-3mil.
Have good food. Enjoy friendships. Workout. Relax.
That's all there is to life.
Greed has no end.
Repeat after me: Time is the currency of life.
Money is not.
The sooner you figure this out, the happier you will be.

@WOLF_Financial Buffett and Munger essentially said the same thing.

STANLEY DRUCKENMILLER AVERAGED 30% RETURNS FOR 30 YEARS WITH ZERO LOSING YEARS
His approach to risk: "I like putting all my eggs in one basket and then watching the basket very carefully."
"Most people make 70-80% of their money on 2 or 3 ideas, even though they have 30 or 40 things in their portfolio. My concept was to put into those 2 or 3 ideas I had the most conviction in."
"Too many investors look at the present. The present is already in the price. You have to visualize 18 to 24 months from now what the world is going to be."
"What a company's been earning is ridiculous. It doesn't mean anything. If you can see something 2 years out that's entirely different than the conventional wisdom, that's how you make money."
"My first boss used to say: the obvious is obviously wrong."

Remember that time when $META paid $20,000,000,000.00 for a messaging company and said the end to end encryption was free and they didn’t try to sell you anything ??!!!! Lmaoooo @elonmusk @michaeljburry @grok

🚨 WhatsApp’s “end-to-end encrypted” privacy is a total lie. New class-action lawsuit just dropped: Meta secretly let employees, contractors like Accenture, and third parties read, intercept, and store your private messages WITHOUT consent. All while marketing it as “only you and the recipient can read it.” Zuck lied to billions. Your chats were never safe.
English

@elonmusk Didn’t $META buy them for like $20b? The company that gives a free virus that infects everything you own and spies on your total life called Facebook? Is this mic on?? And people thought they were encrypted end to end for free…lmfaoooooooooo!!!!
