Yesterday, SB 2906 — critical legislation that gives 100,000 Rideshare drivers the right to form a union — was heard in the Senator Labor Committee. Drivers shared their powerful stories and made it clear that the status quo isn’t working — drivers need real protections.

This week, we continued our lobbying in the State Capitol, speaking with our legislators about what rideshare drivers battle with every day to keep our cities moving. Today, we met with @senpetersil for a round table discussion about how our historic Rideshare Drivers’ Union Bill will give us the representation we need to address shrinking pay, rising costs, and unjust deactivations. Thank you, Senator Peters, for having our back! 🚘✊💪

During @GovPritzker's budget address, he talked about affordability. Rideshare drivers are living the affordability crisis every day. After gas, insurance, and vehicle costs, many drivers are taking home less than minimum wage - struggling to pay rent, put food on the table, and support their families. If we’re serious about affordability in Illinois, drivers need the right to form a union and bargain for fair pay, safety, and dignity on the job.
