Freedom of expression has declined globally by 10% since 2012. This steady trend reflects a growing challenge for access to information and the conditions that enable open, informed societies. When freedom of expression weakens, so does the ability to share, seek and receive reliable information. Protecting it means safeguarding the flow of information that supports understanding, accountability and dialogue. unesco.org/en/world-media… #WorldPressFreedomDay

The Sanchi Stupa in the Raisen district of Madhya Pradesh, is one of the oldest stone structures in India, originally commissioned in the 3rd century BCE by Emperor Ashoka. Considered a remarkable example of Buddhist architecture, the Great Stupa features a hemispherical dome encircled by stone railings and four intricately carved gateways depicting scenes from the life of Gautama Buddha. Recognised as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Sanchi offers visitors an insightful journey into India’s ancient spiritual and architectural heritage. Beyond the Great Stupa, the site also includes several smaller stupas, temples, and monasteries, making Sanchi an enriching destination for history and culture enthusiasts. 📍Sanchi Stupa, Madhya Pradesh #IncredibleIndia #SanchiStupa #MadhyaPradeshTourism

Patwon Ki Haveli, the "Mansion of the Brocade Merchants," is one of the most elaborately carved havelis in Jaisalmer, Rajasthan. Sculpted in yellow sandstone and commissioned by a wealthy merchant, Guman Chand Patwa, in the 19th century. Rising proudly from the golden sand, this five-storey marvel has captivated travellers for centuries, both from afar and within. Its intricately decorated gateways and arches draw you into an opulent world with high ceilings, elaborately carved pillars, and stunning mirror work. 📍Patwon Ki Haveli, Jaisalmer, Rajasthan #incredibleindia #rajasthantourism #rajasthan

My recent visit to Udaipur for a vibrant #Startup event reminded me just why it’s one of India’s finest cities. The way the city has consciously preserved its heritage by restoring palaces, carefully managing lakefronts and curating public spaces shows how beauty can be protected without losing its essence and historical significance. It’s a living example of how tourism, conservation and local culture can move forward together. Phenomenal destination !

A thousand year old statue of Thirthankar Mahavira found half-buried in Virudhunagar. Made of granite, intricately carved, it depicts Mahavira seated on a throne with makara -torans on both sides. A rare and valuable example of Jain art in Tamil Nadu. Mahavir Jayanti 🙏🙏
