Thanks for reading William! Regarding your first point: I would never assume elections are valid. Even if you consider democracy to be a valid form of government I don't expect the published vote counts to be 100% true. I do expect a majority of people to believe the election outcome is valid. And I am of the opinion that government can't fudge the numbers too much (hard to say what 'too much' is), or it will be too obvious. Even the empire has to keep an air of legitimacy in the minds of the people. I think most elections are indeed fixed long before any vote is cast, by party officials selecting candidates they find palatable and willing to play ball with the regime. In Massie's case, I picture whoever is behind the scenes really scratching their head at how they let someone like Massie in backwoods Kentucky become a real problem for them. They probably didn't care enough about that district to put much effort into stopping him at the time. Or if they're really playing 5D chess, he could be a big phony that pretends to really care about liberty issues but is actually a plant to make good republicans and libertarians feel somewhat represented. I guess either way, my point stands that if he's ousted, it's a rude awakening that the system is controlled and there's no voting their way out of it. I won't be mad if he stays there and keeps causing trouble for the state (assuming there's anything real about it). But I think in the long run it's best if he is defeated, whether that election is real or not. It just has to appear real to the people clinging to a thread of statism

Excellent read. Valid points. Maybe I missed it, but your assumptions are that the voting system and his win/loss would be a valid outcome. I argue that the election has already been determined by those in charge of the machines (Intel-Super-State). Lastly, agreed, he is controlled opposition and Libertarians to Conservatives still trust the system. His position continues the illusion that elections are fair and the Federal government can be fixed. Keeping him in office keeps the sheeple engaged at political fixes. Sadlt, it keeps people in the rigged game. You're right that a loss might turn more people to become less trusting and relying on a corrupt Cartel-Mafia-Regime (gov).

@cstownsend79 @bgetsbetter Exactly! I didn't mention that aspect of it directly, but that worship is the thing people are clinging to in hoping that a savior can emerge from within the state

I like Thomas. He's a smart guy. The idolatry around Massie is beginning to reach tje same levels as that around Trump. By some of the same people. This is very dangerous ground. But here we are not having learned the lesson so many just commoted that got us where we are now. We are in the same cycle.

Exactly! Which is why he needs to leave and we all get a good, hard, honest look at what the government actually is.

@CFackering @RepThomasMassie I don't have any major disagreements with Massie. He's light-years beyond any other politician in his record. But my question is, what do you want to reach moderates and libertarians for? What would you have them do?

How do you plan on outreaching to moderates and libertarians when they feel betrayed over this? Serious question since the Dems have more bodies.

If Massie wins, libertarians were right, the Iran war is a disaster, MAGA is dead, and America first is the way forward. If Massie loses, libertarians were right, the system is hopelessly corrupt, and we can’t vote our way out of this.

@DropTheMaskPod I was hoping it was a joke. Doubt it though. What I said in the OP is exactly why I haven’t hopped on board these ever shifting narratives. Something about it is off and these people are wasting political capital and energy. That’s my opinion but it’s where I’m at.
