You know how I meant it. This technological change isn’t just about an artist having new tools — the change instead means art can be made, relatively well, by a person with technical skills (because more artistic legwork is being done by AI that leverages good art). The burden to learn the process is gone, making it more about taste — which artists may have refined, but they don’t have a monopoly on taste. So to your original point, art (that at least looks nice on the surface level thanks to AI), has moved into a realm where tech people can use their taste, create, and cast opinions. That’s why the Wall Street analogy isn’t right. Your artistic taste doesn’t impact financials.

As an artist, I think the most frustrating thing about AI discourse is that the vast majority of people arguing with you aren't artists, yet they'll tell you what defines art, how the industry works, how you should 'adapt', and what the optimal future of creativity looks like.

Additionally the Trump organization made $160 million in business deals while Trump was in the WH. Do you know who the owner of the Trump organization is? Donald Trump. Yes he transferred ownership to a revocable trust during his Presidency, but he was still permitted to tell the trustees how to run the company and fire them at any time. Trump retained his financial stake in the business, despite having offered during the campaign to put all his assets in a blind trust should he win the presidency. Why is there a completely different standard for Hunter Biden who wasn't even working in the WH?

You can’t claim Donald Trump won the 2020 election when he is not in the White House. Winning is not determined on fairness of the victory.
