@EricAddison It’s also totally normal to vocalize all of the punches/kicks/gun shot/laser blast sounds while cutting a fight scene and the sounds of those ships flying around in the VFX shot you’re slugging in for timing, right? #securelyinsecure

Other editors talk to themselves while working alone, right? Like talking through what they will cut to next, complaining about the framing or timing in a shot, what transition to use, saying when something does/doesn't work...stuff like that. Or is it just me. #postchat

I can’t wait to hear this story! I always ask my Assistant Editors to load all the false starts and “NG” clips in my bins and make sure to glance through them…sometimes you get interesting vérité camera moves or a quiet moment with an actor waiting for ‘action’ #editing
