About 15 years ago, for reasons unknown, I stopped regularly watching movies both at home and in the cinema. Heard a lot about this one though so thought I’d give it a shot. Took about 15 minutes to properly tune in to it but it’s a damn good movie with an excellent cast. 🎬👍🎬

@Drumslinger This happened to me the other week when we had that gale. It blew both my portable greenhouses over. Everything I had planted destroyed so I have had to start again.

When you’re in bed loaded with the cold there’s nothing worse than being woken by the sound of your bin being blown over at 1:15am and decanting its contents all over the street and your neighbours’ gardens. Then you have to pull on some clothes, go outside and clear up the mess.

Just did my 5,000th press up of the year. Pleased I'm slightly ahead of my target to do 20,000 in a year (now thinking about shifting to 25,000). Did anyone else decide to do it?

Yesterday I bought £55.50 worth of diesel from Lothianburn Service Station, Edinburgh, and this is what came off my bank account. I really hope this gets sorted out soon because if it’s a widespread occurrence then @Esso_GB need to get their app fixed pronto. Unhappy customer.

@artfulbooks I do have two electric set ups and one is hugely portable. Not appropriate for the gig in question though. Plus there’s a full sound system in there too. Thankfully most, but not all, of my bandmates are pretty good at helping hump stuff.

@Drumslinger Amazon do a nifty electric drum set for around £200. Weighs 14.5 kilos. Just saying. Don't look at me like that.

The glamour of rock’n’roll. No limos or Learjets round these parts. Fact: I’ve never had a “roadie” in 50 years of playing live. The playing is fine. The downside is having to hump this lot back and forth. It’s a young man’s game…but I’ll almost certainly carry on until I drop.

Found @Nicola_Meighan’s sunglasses backstage stage so had to try them on. I like ‘em! The second photo is last night’s luxurious (*cluttered) “green room”. Grateful for the excellent plate of food which I forgot to photograph. It was beef with croquettes and some green stuff.

Tonight’s gig. It’s the Scottish Arts Club Gala Ball @PrestonfieldHH. Gonna be a lively affair with @Nicola_Meighan at the helm! What a fabulous venue for a hoe-down…and I’ve been promised a meal too!

In Galashiels for tonight’s @horsemusic show @macartscentre. Looking forward to seeing the band for the first time in about 35 years. 🎼👍🎼

I’m in *the “pub” that cannot be named* - but only because there’s no other pub near tonight’s gig. This stuff looked interesting. I can report that, at £2.20 a pint, it was not as good as I’d hoped but nowhere near as bad as it might have been…

Had a few expenses recently. Home & car insurance, Tax and MOT. Just got back on the level…and the washing machine implodes. No point fixing it. It’s had 10 years of light usage but no doubt it’ll fail again soonish. New machine ordered. Skint again. Bugger and indeed bollocks.

Took a quick, sunny walk along the Union Canal to visit my old Edinburgh hood down by the, sadly and poorly graffitied, Leamington Lift Bridge. I quite like good graffiti but not noticing much artistic talent around central Edinburgh.

It’s amazing what pops up on Facebook Marketplace during nighttime scrolling. Fortunately I hadn’t been drinking so potential purchase disaster narrowly averted!

I’ve cut back on vinyl purchases recently but couldn’t resist this one at a mere £8.50. The cassette version of this record was a firm favourite in our band van back in 1988-90. Never got around to buying it in any form until now. Nice original pressing in great condition.

Mothers’ Day apparently. Gone 11 years now and still missed daily.
