@CBREEZE_27 @autosport You still probably wouldn't SAFR that particular barrier. It's inside a slow corner with a wide run off. It's literally only there to park the recovery truck behind.

@chainbear The odds on a car hitting that fence on that angle are insane.

@andrewbensonf1 How the hell he survived that.... Huge testament to the great work done on chassis safety.

@teme82 @dianeb1984 @F1 @redbullracing 77 pitted as soon as possible. 44 crossed the line and the race ended. Do you want every car to immediately withdraw once a puncture happens? Cause we'd see a lot of 1st lap requirements then!

@dianeb1984 @F1 @redbullracing Time will tell. But there is the this : Article 3.2 (Competitors must ensure that their cars comply with the conditions of eligibility and safety throughout practice and the race.)

@natesaundersF1 We all know that whoever goes to Ferrari has to accept 2 things: 1. #2 driver status who can help win a WCC title. 2. Only filling the spot till a young Schumacher is ready to step up.

Sainz over Ricciardo for Ferrari makes a lot of sense. Sainz younger and on upward trajectory, happier to wait his turn, establish himself as race winner rather than come straight in for a championship. Important for that dynamic in a team clearly building around Leclerc.

@40framess Actually it does. "See if you can teach him a few things, other than crashing into people which he's already learnt from you." Plus, driving a 2019 Mercedes is still a step up from most of the other teams!

@Mino_tauri @Motorsport They have that. They need someone good at coming second to a better teammate, which Carlos has in spades 😂

@Motorsport The media are acting like trolls cut and paste half baked information. Ferrari need someone with experience winning races

@ddorshimer @Motorsport Nope. Both McLaren drivers are out of contract at the end of 2020. There were a few news reports with McLaren recently, asking what would happen to teams like them in the 2020 season extends into January; would they have to change drivers on 1/1/21 etc.

@overthepainbow @Motorsport Bottas could work, but why would you want to be #2 at Ferrari when you can be #2 at the reigning champions! Lando is out of contract end of 2020 as well though, so a possible Dan & Seb McLaren Mercedes pairing?

@BootneckBenners @crackalac87 @Motorsport I love Seb at Aston, but probably not till 2022. Given that the 2020 cars will be used again in 2021, I think he'll wait till after the season (whenever that is) and look at whoever leads the midfield. Don't forget, Lando is out of contract too, so a Dan & Seb pairing is there..

@crackalac87 @Motorsport Pérez has a long contract. Lance was off the pace. The AM board may want a better name and with Merc powering them, a German experiences driver fits. It’s a theory. That’s all it is. I personally think he’ll go to Renault or maybe even Alfa Romeo to replace Kimi.

@F1 @ScuderiaFerrari Whoever it is, they'll only be there as a placeholder till Ferrari finally get a Schumacher back in red! Sainz Jr - Ferrari Riccardo - McLaren Mercedes Gasly - Renault (VIVE LA FRANCE!) Vettel - HAAS Grosjean - Extreme E Racing

@25CThompson @SamiAberkani @F1Photographer @RacingPointF1 yeah, but they haven't got a twitter handle 😂 Only real issue is Perez is contracted to 2022, and Lance is there till he's had enough. Having said that, a 1 yr Haas contract for Seb before heading up the 2022 Aston team could be an option.
