@andrewbensonf1 That... is not great... They should put in a yellow flag in that section.. no overtaking! It is simply too dangerous!!

The former metal barrier on the straight after Turn Three has been replaced by a section of concrete barriers #BahrainGP #Grosjean bbc.co.uk/sport/live/for…
English

@DanHardwick86 @LordHasALamb @JustDemulcent @andrewbensonf1 To be fair to the barrier, it wasn't expecting the point end of a to hit straight on. In that situation, a concrete barrier, while preventing a car splitting and burning, would probably lead to more severe internal injuries.
English

@CBREEZE_27 @autosport You still probably wouldn't SAFR that particular barrier. It's inside a slow corner with a wide run off. It's literally only there to park the recovery truck behind.
English

@chainbear The odds on a car hitting that fence on that angle are insane.
English

@andrewbensonf1 How the hell he survived that.... Huge testament to the great work done on chassis safety.
English

Haas say Grosjean "has some minor burns on his hands and ankles but otherwise he is ok. He is with the doctors just now" bbc.co.uk/sport/live/for…
English

@teme82 @dianeb1984 @F1 @redbullracing 77 pitted as soon as possible.
44 crossed the line and the race ended.
Do you want every car to immediately withdraw once a puncture happens?
Cause we'd see a lot of 1st lap requirements then!
English

@dianeb1984 @F1 @redbullracing Time will tell. But there is the this : Article 3.2 (Competitors must ensure that their cars comply with the conditions of eligibility and safety throughout practice and the race.)
English

@natesaundersF1 We all know that whoever goes to Ferrari has to accept 2 things:
1. #2 driver status who can help win a WCC title.
2. Only filling the spot till a young Schumacher is ready to step up.
English

@40framess Actually it does. "See if you can teach him a few things, other than crashing into people which he's already learnt from you."
Plus, driving a 2019 Mercedes is still a step up from most of the other teams!
English

@JTCNunya @Planet_F1 @IndyCar Oh I'd just LOVE Seb to head over and win Indy before Alonso!
And I'm not even a Seb fan!
English

@piuansebastian @chainbear Is there a history of Lewis songs when Nico stopped?
English

@Mino_tauri @Motorsport They have that. They need someone good at coming second to a better teammate, which Carlos has in spades 😂
English

@Motorsport The media are acting like trolls cut and paste half baked information. Ferrari need someone with experience winning races
English

Max Verstappen reckons Carlos Sainz will replace Sebastian Vettel at Ferrari in #F1 next year, not Daniel Ricciardo.
What do you think? 🤔
motorsport.com/f1/news/max-ve…
English

@ddorshimer @Motorsport Nope. Both McLaren drivers are out of contract at the end of 2020. There were a few news reports with McLaren recently, asking what would happen to teams like them in the 2020 season extends into January; would they have to change drivers on 1/1/21 etc.
English

@Motorsport I thought Sainz was signed to McLaren through 2022... I’m probably wrong but I think a Ricciardo/LeClair team would be very good for Ferrari
English

@overthepainbow @Motorsport Bottas could work, but why would you want to be #2 at Ferrari when you can be #2 at the reigning champions!
Lando is out of contract end of 2020 as well though, so a possible Dan & Seb McLaren Mercedes pairing?
English

@BootneckBenners @crackalac87 @Motorsport I love Seb at Aston, but probably not till 2022.
Given that the 2020 cars will be used again in 2021, I think he'll wait till after the season (whenever that is) and look at whoever leads the midfield.
Don't forget, Lando is out of contract too, so a Dan & Seb pairing is there..
English

@crackalac87 @Motorsport Pérez has a long contract. Lance was off the pace. The AM board may want a better name and with Merc powering them, a German experiences driver fits. It’s a theory. That’s all it is. I personally think he’ll go to Renault or maybe even Alfa Romeo to replace Kimi.
English

@F1 @ScuderiaFerrari Whoever it is, they'll only be there as a placeholder till Ferrari finally get a Schumacher back in red!
Sainz Jr - Ferrari
Riccardo - McLaren Mercedes
Gasly - Renault (VIVE LA FRANCE!)
Vettel - HAAS
Grosjean - Extreme E Racing

@ShYashvardhan @SamiAberkani @F1Photographer @RacingPointF1 Perez, for me at least, is a solid "Career" driver along the lines of Hulk, Heidfeld, Grosjean et al. But he's no 4 time champion.
Anyway, a moot point as there are plenty of other options out there.
English

@ShYashvardhan @SamiAberkani @F1Photographer @RacingPointF1 Contracts can be broken with enough incentive!
😂
English

@25CThompson @SamiAberkani @F1Photographer @RacingPointF1 yeah, but they haven't got a twitter handle 😂
Only real issue is Perez is contracted to 2022, and Lance is there till he's had enough.
Having said that, a 1 yr Haas contract for Seb before heading up the 2022 Aston team could be an option.
English

@nazifeministjew Let's not forget, that'll be a McLaren Mercedes for 2021, so @danielricciardo would at least have an engine that allows him to finish a race!
English

@SamiAberkani @F1Photographer Vettel to @RacingPointF1 to partner Lance would probably be a better move, at least for 2021.
English

@F1Photographer I assume that means Vettel is either retiring or going to Renault?
