@DanHardwick86 @LordHasALamb @JustDemulcent @andrewbensonf1 To be fair to the barrier, it wasn't expecting the point end of a to hit straight on. In that situation, a concrete barrier, while preventing a car splitting and burning, would probably lead to more severe internal injuries.

@CBREEZE_27 @autosport You still probably wouldn't SAFR that particular barrier. It's inside a slow corner with a wide run off. It's literally only there to park the recovery truck behind.

@natesaundersF1 We all know that whoever goes to Ferrari has to accept 2 things: 1. #2 driver status who can help win a WCC title. 2. Only filling the spot till a young Schumacher is ready to step up.

Sainz over Ricciardo for Ferrari makes a lot of sense. Sainz younger and on upward trajectory, happier to wait his turn, establish himself as race winner rather than come straight in for a championship. Important for that dynamic in a team clearly building around Leclerc.

@40framess Actually it does. "See if you can teach him a few things, other than crashing into people which he's already learnt from you." Plus, driving a 2019 Mercedes is still a step up from most of the other teams!

@ddorshimer @Motorsport Nope. Both McLaren drivers are out of contract at the end of 2020. There were a few news reports with McLaren recently, asking what would happen to teams like them in the 2020 season extends into January; would they have to change drivers on 1/1/21 etc.

@Motorsport I thought Sainz was signed to McLaren through 2022... I’m probably wrong but I think a Ricciardo/LeClair team would be very good for Ferrari

@overthepainbow @Motorsport Bottas could work, but why would you want to be #2 at Ferrari when you can be #2 at the reigning champions! Lando is out of contract end of 2020 as well though, so a possible Dan & Seb McLaren Mercedes pairing?

Given that the 2020 cars will be used again in 2021, I think he'll wait till after the season (whenever that is) and look at whoever leads the midfield. @crackalac87 @Motorsport Pérez has a long contract. Lance was off the pace. The AM board may want a better name and with Merc powering them, a German experiences driver fits. It’s a theory. That’s all it is. I personally think he’ll go to Renault or maybe even Alfa Romeo to replace Kimi.

@ShYashvardhan @SamiAberkani @F1Photographer @RacingPointF1 Perez, for me at least, is a solid "Career" driver along the lines of Hulk, Heidfeld, Grosjean et al. But he's no 4 time champion. Anyway, a moot point as there are plenty of other options out there.

@nazifeministjew Let's not forget, that'll be a McLaren Mercedes for 2021, so @danielricciardo would at least have an engine that allows him to finish a race!
