A hot take about Web3 communities and Otherside: I think every major NFT project (even memecoin) should have at least one playable avatar for their holders to use in Otherside. Not 10,000 models. Just one default community avatar. Pudgys, Doodles, Azuki, Claynos, VeeFriends, Quirkies, Bodoggos, GVC, Creepz, Moonbirds, Claynos, DeGods, Okay Bears, Final Bosu, Kabu... everyone should be thinking about this. It’s low lift. Low cost. And it would uplift the entire ecosystem, not just one project. There are tools and processes in place to facilitate onboarding your avatar into the Otherside. There are even community 3D artists providing services. So what's the excuse? Otherside isn’t "just a game." There's a real social layer forming. A place to walk around, chat, make bubbles, explore, and break stuff together. It’s becoming a social hangout. And here’s the spicy part: The moment we see an official Pudgy Penguin avatar in Otherside? Momentum shifts. For everyone. Not because of a “Pudgy vs Yuga” narrative, but because big communities showing up creates gravity. Not every project can afford full 3D for all their NFTs . I get that. But every project can afford one avatar. A mascot. A representation of their community. And while they’re at it, they should seriously consider building a small Otherside experience using the ODK. Doesn’t need to be AAA. Just aligned with their brand. A mini-game. A world. A challenge. A social club. Whatever fits. Imagine this: A Pudgy world spin-off where you earn Pengu. A Moonbird runway scoring outfits for Birb. A Quirkies obstacle course. A VeeFriends “kindness quest.” A GVC good-vibes scavenger hunt. All on-chain. All rewarding actual participation. Communities are already hosting unofficial social games in the Koda Nexus and the Swamp, pushing boundaries. Imagine what happens when the official IP holders join the party. The possibilities are endless. And the barrier to entry is tiny compared to the upside. At the end of the day, I want less PVP and more you-and-me. More cross-community fun. More building. More showing up where the energy is. What do you think? Should every major project have a playable avatar + at least one ODK world? Or am I crazy for thinking this is the most obvious unlock for Web3 right now?
