Hot take: No prop firm should permanently ban traders for performing well and getting payouts. A cooldown is a compromise that I think is perfectly fair.

@MyFundedFutures moving to a 3 week cooldown is solid. Not sure when they shifted away from bans, but props to them. A lot of firms used to ban traders after just one move to live. Now it’s shifting toward cooldowns: @TradingLucid: 2 weeks @Tradeify: 4 weeks TPT: 10 funded per 30 days Topstep: no more funded restrictions, only 10 evals per month Much healthier direction for the industry.

The recent payout delays were the result of a perfect storm of several major factors/initiatives happening at once: We have been updating internal systems and external integrations for the new dashboard, implementing enhanced due diligence and stronger identity verification and fraud checks, adding more advanced risk analysis to detect deceptive trading and gaming behavior, and building new connections and integrations for the trading platforms we’ll be announcing very soon (this is going to be BIG news) All of this work is designed to strengthen the platform, improve security, and support what’s coming next. While these upgrades are important, we understand that longer payout timelines are frustrating, and we take that seriously. The good news is that this phase is now nearing completion. Starting next week, payouts will begin to accelerate, the backlog should be cleared, and we expect to return to a very short payout interval.
