@cc22report Well…don’t sleep on a team like Dallas making an insane offer for Lexie…there are only maybe 4 other guards in the league that play defense as good as Lexie…and pulling her from the Fever could be a strategy in and of itself… Can’t imagine her leaving…just sayin.

And that is pretty much a wrap on Lex and Kelsey Only way it’s not a wrap is if Kelsey actively says no, which she is not gonna do, or if some team makes an insane offer to Lex which also is not gonna happen Reminder that if Kelsey did say no to the core offer she cannot sign with another team this year So she will be a Fever.

@cc22report It’s a lot to digest…and i admittedly didn’t read it all… For starters…nobody is taking a pay cut…some MAY have to leave some money on the table…however…the adjustments SHOULD mean that last season’s rosters can be kept if salaries adapt accordingly

Here is an impression I’m getting and I may be totally off base with this but that has never stopped me from posting before Between the NYL trio of Stewie, Sab, and JJ all publicly saying they intend to return And some things I am reading/hearing about the ATL players all systems go to return everyone there plus Angel None of that happens without all of them taking SIGNIFICANT pay cuts Like we are talking about hundreds of thousands apiece for all of them - they are all supermax players and are gonna have to take on average like maybe $850k for those rosters to work Which, I mean good on them if they want to do that but it is gonna severely depress the market for everyone else If you’re someone like say a Rachel Banham, middle of the road shooter, pretty good but not great, how can you ask for like $600k when Rhyne Howard is over there making only $250k more than that It is insane, you can’t do it But on the other hand it’s gonna make things much more affordable for the Fever to do what they need to do so I mean, yay? But really these players taking so much less than they should is indirectly pilfering the pockets of every single player in the league So much for “pay us what you owe us”

@ZahlHenrik @CannyZanny She’s comfortably a top 5 Center in the league fr…I’d put her at 3 behind JJ and AB…and she’s likely the best player to put against JJ…at least in the paint…that kinda makes her a major piece…at least while Cam Mills and Dominique are developing…she’s got at least 2 years.

Lish - $1M Rhyne - $1M Angel - $350k Paopao - $277k Thierry - $277k Naz - $600k Bri - $750k BG - $500k That leaves $2.3M left for 4 more players. It is totally possible to keep this roster.

@Black_FamilyMan @BrendanGlasheen Angel is good against anyone else 1v1 in the paint…and her at 5 with Naz at 4 will be the faster lineup…which you’ll use to create point gaps…the pieces are perfect lowkey.

@Black_FamilyMan @BrendanGlasheen The idea in general is that since they were already number 1 in rebounding…make the rebounding as easy as possible by spreading the floor and only keeping one defending big in the paint…let BG bang with JJ as much as possible and let Jones bang with AB as much as possible…

Angel Reese potentially alongside Allisha Gray and Rhyne Howard. They can mirror what Angel did with Chelsea Gray & Kahleah Copper in Unrivaled Season 1. Kick it to shooters, a rim runner on the break and a screen-and-roller in the halfcourt. And of course an ⚓️ defensively.

I don't wanna give Jeff his 10s but he does do right by his players when they wanna leave. He sent Dana to Vegas, Kah to phoenix, marina to playoff ct sun and now Angel to dream

@Black_FamilyMan @BrendanGlasheen No reason for it to get worse…a spread floor with angel in the paint will be gold…the same way it is with BG but Angel is quicker and more physical with more hustle than BG…we just never get to see it because it was too easy to clutter the paint with her in Chicago

@DuValOvertonII @BrendanGlasheen I think there offense will get worse unless her off rebounding is just so overpowering they get a ton of extra cracks at scoring. The trade off should be having someone that can effectively guard the bigs you will run up against in a series, Aja, Phee, AB, Stewie.

@Black_FamilyMan @BrendanGlasheen That being said…the biggest reason for the trade…from what I can see…is connecting Atlanta sports back to the culture…celebs in Atlanta were only going to Angel games…now celebs can be season ticket holders and help generate more fans….or at least attendance.

If Chicago gets Slim with who they currently have and FINALLY having a second season with a repeat system…they could do notably better this season…but…I can see them looking to trade Bec after that last interview.

@mulonda_k @CannyZanny True…but I imagine they run Angel at the 5 when BG rests and relieve Angel with Bri…no sense in not letting the bigs run as bigs…especially with Canada, Gray and Howard… I imagine we see 3 guards with Naz and Angel most frequently
