@DavidAnber I have no idea why she blocked you nor do I really care. I doubt very much you are following through on your threats to take legal action. Let us know when you write the cheque for a retainer. I doubt you would represent yourself as there is an old adage for that….

Being offered lots of sets of calves here from the west Seeing more of them on creep feed Thats the very last thing calf buyers are looking for If the calves have exposure to some good dry feed and silage would be preferred Dont creep feed the calves on whole oats etc

@MitchMeyer88 I am sure at the time your ancestors thought they were farming with very advanced equipment compared to late 1800's or early 1900's.

100 years ago the first wheat crop was harvested on this farm by my ancestors. It’s pretty cool because the one to harvest the 100 year anniversary wheat crop.

There’s not a one size fits all answer. Lots of variables on a case by case basis. It’s possible for tax purposes to transfer farm property for less than market value to next generation. You can’t do that with the family cottage or your Bell Canada shares. So, if you are in a financial position to transfer farm to next generation at significantly less than its value and not exceed your lifetime exemption then you will not be affected by higher inclusion rate.

Gosh, I wish I knew. My accountant tells me (as a farmer) I am not going to pay any capital gain tax from the new changes. But if you read Twitter I am going to be financially ruined. Is it possible Twitter is wrong? I see the lifetime CG exemption has gone up.
