@ChampD1012 I know Imma week late, but: 1. Football loses money for just about everyone. FBS included. 2. If Athletics is dependent on donors, HBCU Sports is in trouble unless they admit where they are and compete in that space and/or find other ways of getting donors w/o shaming alums.

@Duane_Nash Football loses money for the majority of the FCS teams… I’ve said for years that the investment needs to be basketball… Athletics is dependent on donors… More schools are figuring that out with the enrollment cliff approaching

We were three plays away from starting 4-0 in the conference. And the CAA schedule is the lightest one since entering the conference this year. Season tickets sales are at the highest it’s ever been. So the revenue is there…and it can be more if they increase prices

@ChampD1012 I know games weren't selling out a decade ago. However, attendance was higher. And, yes, we do need more monies from elsewhere. But I won't fall for the banana in the tailpipe of improvement until it happens

Views through the "🏈 lens" is one thing, but if you ever get a chance to talk to other coaches you'll find out their sports have garnered more attention & have appreciated the move. The next AD needs to be in lockstep with what collegiate athletics is becoming & be versatile.

Games werent selling out when we were winning celebration bowls.We needed a higher percentage of dollars coming from campus enterprises then than we currently do. I think the football team will be improved from last season though.I would argue that basketball being bad is worse.

@SportVoiceJW @ChampD1012 It's wonderful that the coaches are more appreciative of the attention, but: 1. If football continues to struggle, the non-revenue sports will suffer. 2. Athletics has made more of an effort in marketing those teams. The same approach can be taken in any conference.
