The “poor defender” takes on Isaiah are pretty tired at this point. I know this limited his play freshman year, but he is not a bad defender. No teams were targeting him. He’s athletic and long, and he plays hard as hell, especially when he gets to clapping.

It’s really sad, but after the first recruiting weekend for the 2027 high school class, I had a couple of coaching friends tell me this week they can only take one or two high school players because they have to save spots for the transfer portal. I guess these kids have to go to lower levels and work their way up. A very small percentage will stay anywhere for four/five years. The new normal. 🤷🏼‍♂️🏀
