NFL Wild Card Sunday Play #1 🏈 Saquon Barkley o79.5 rushing (-114 FD) 100 ❤️s for another play in the morning! It's been an up and down season for Saquon who is only over this mark in 5/16 games this season. However, we've seen a small resurgence as of late as he's over in his L2/4 and this Eagles offense looks a lot more comfortable running the ball thanks to a completely new scheme developed. Lane Johnson's return only bolsters this further as his presence will allow better gaps for Saquon to run through and as a result, likely better chances at explosives. But the real appeal here, matchup. San Francisco has been extremely exploitable on the ground ranking 22nd in EPA/rush and bottom 7 in success rate since Week 10. More importantly, Saquon primarily runs through zone concepts, a mark that's 66% in the aforementioned L4 weeks he's played. Luckily for him, SF grades as the WORST defense vs zone conepts since Week 10 allowing a 61.4% success rate and 5.49 YPC, both dead last in the league. During that span, they also rank bottom 5 in explosive run percentage (5.8%) and we all know despite his season, Saquon has the ability to break one. Overall, projecting a lot of success for the Eagles here especially as 5.5 pt favorites. With Jalen Carter back defensively, they should be able to stifle SF and gain ample offensive opportunities. With the lack of linebackers avaliable for San Fran as well with every one they had to start the season being injured, should be a big game for Saquon in store.
