@Duckness33 @r3l0d3 @DadsOfMarathon Same here, I was 1/4 exfils on cryo, last night did 3 runs all exfils. Map knowledge is king on that map, if you start a losing fight and do know how to properly reposition and get out, you’re cooked. Better to leave with something than nothing.

I am one of the people who have never made it out of cryo because it's so oppressive. I just want to feel like it's an attainable goal instead of what it currently is

Cryo Archive feels genuinely oppressive right now. I don't know how they fix this but the matchmaking seems so out of control for higher season level people. Yes "git gud", "its endgame" etc etc but these are the sorts of things that make the potentially long term Marathon players (and therefore customers) fall off hard. Right now its just teams of hardcore players running around with the sole objective of stopping people from actually experiencing the vaults and then the compiler. I don't think the actual map and its AI need to be changed but something about the matchmaking has to. If they want to keep people hooked, they need to feel that the complier kill is achievable because right now its miserable for many who aren't playing this game for 8 hours a day. No I don't think a PvE version is the answer at all. I know both @Skarrow9 and @RyGilliam touched on this as well in their own tweets and videos. Hope Bungie can pull something off here.

Forcing crew fill into full premade 3 stacks is rapidly killing the game

@lovelyvxtte @FLMito You’re constantly rewarded for your time in contract rewards, rank up rewards and when you get to VIP rewards it’s every match pretty much. Also dopamine and adrenaline you constantly receive

i love this game so much it’s the best extraction shooter on the market i can’t believe how much unwarranted hate it’s getting

@magnusman08 @NelliusSnackius @bbolliee I get where you coming from. The reward of progression the game gives you every run and the dopamine and adrenaline the game provides is like no other. Shame that most people won’t be able to experience it

@NelliusSnackius @Duckness33 @bbolliee And the normal response would be "Cool bro, you do you." Not "You need to spend a month of weekends to git gud". That is a pretty big problem in the marathon community. I would never ask that of anyone even if it was a game i personally thought was the best one ever.

It is really crazy how fun this game is and for some reason the player base is this low

@NelliusSnackius @magnusman08 @bbolliee It probably has something to do with what we were raised playing. Halo 2 was my first game like this and to progress in multiplayer you just had to get better, learn what I did wrong and apply it to future games. I’ve done this for every game I’ve played in my life

@Duckness33 @magnusman08 @bbolliee PvP isn’t ruining my time in souls games though. I can’t seem learn patterns to get better. PvP has skill gaps that are pretty big.

@magnusman08 @NelliusSnackius @bbolliee It’s a selling point for Dark Souls and Souls-likes. Either get better or don’t progress, Marathon is the exactly the same. I get these kinds of games aren’t for everyone, if people just got a taste of the reward these games give people would understand why they exist

@Duckness33 @NelliusSnackius @bbolliee Not for nothing but; you need to think about what you're asking of the average player. "put in a month of your free time and maybe it'll click for you and you'll git gud." For a lot of people- that is not a selling point.

@NelliusSnackius @bbolliee If you want to be good at PvP in any game you have to put time in. Myself I just got to the point of 60-90% success rate for exfil this week. I turned a corner skill wise, just took me a month

@NelliusSnackius @bbolliee Not to be rude but that’s more a skill issue. Not trying to rub it in but I’m able to free kit and take out purple shields on the regular, that’s the benefits to not having weapons increase damage/rate of fire on getting better mods

@bbolliee Because the community is rude on social media, and is a deterrent. I’m average at best for PvP but loved it for a while. After the first comp/cryo weekend I just kept getting shit on by better gear all the time. I can’t seem to get ahead. So I decided it’s not for me.
