DFLFC is excited to announce the commitment of @MrLiamPCollins Liam joins us from across the pond in Ireland. He grew up in the town of Skibbereen before leaving to come to the United States for college. He attended the University of Memphis where he was twice named to the Herman Trophy watchlist, twice named to 1st-Team All-Region, and twice named to 1st-Team All-Conference. Collins concluded his time at Memphis with the all time assist record! At the club level, Liam has played all over Ireland, Canada and the United States. He had stints with Cork FC, DC United U23’s, Hamilton FC, KW United FC, Toronto Lynx, Nashville FC, Inter Nashville, and Club Athletico Saint Louis. Collins now gives back to the sport as a coach for @Holt_Soccer in Wentzville, Mo where he is also a teacher. We would also like to Congratulate Liam on recently becoming a US Citizen a few weeks ago! #dflfc #tst @TST7v7

DFLFC is excited to announce the commitment of Matt Moran! . . . Growing up in Perryville, MO, Moran helped the Perryville Pirates to a state championship and earned Missouri’s Class 2 High School Player of the Year in 2014. Moran then went to spend one year in NJCAA DI with Jefferson College before transferring to NCAA DII McKendree University where he spent his three remaining years of college. . . . Moran also has experience playing in the semi-pro NPSL for Club Atletico St Louis. He played two seasons with the Bluebirds. . . . DFLFC can’t wait to see Matt and his signature headband on the field this summer! #TST #DFLFC @TST7v7

DFLFC is excited to announce the commitment of Brian Bement! . . . Bement is from just across the Mississippi River in Waterloo, IL. He attended Saint Louis University High School where he captained his team before going on the play for Loyola University Chicago, winning numerous awards in the Missouri Valley Conference. . . . After college, Bement went on to play professionally in multiple leagues including the NASL, USL-1, NISA, and MASL. He represented Carmelo Anthony’s Puerto Rico FC in their only two seasons. He then went on to play for Jacksonville Armada, Forward Madison FC, and three years in Chattanooga split between Chattanooga FC and Chattanooga Red Wolves. Most recently, he played one session for the St Louis Ambush where he was named “Unsung Hero” of the season. . . . DFLFC is excited to announce the commitment of Ryan Wakeman! . . . Wakeman grew up in St Louis, MO attending St John Vianney HS. During his time was named First Team All-Metro and First Team All-State. . . . After high school, Wakeman stepped away from soccer for a few years to focus on his education, but he quickly returned after graduating. He has won 8 Mitre Cup Championships and 5 Illinois Cup Championships with AA Express (formerly Mission Taco). He also played a stint with FC Martisa in the UPSL, and was a part of the team during their run into final round of US Open Cup qualifying. . . . DFLFC is excited to announce the commitment of Lucas Sanchez! . . . Sanchez was born and raised in São Paulo, Brazil. Growing up he played for Esporte Clube Corinthians Paulista, even being called up to the U-15 Corinthians Academy team. . . . Sanchez came the US to play soccer at Knox College where he captained the team for two seasons winning two conference titles and multiple awards. He was named MVP and First Team All-Conference in 2018. After graduating, he stayed on as an assistant coach with Knox and helped lead them to their first NCAA tournament appearance. . . . DFLFC is ecstatic to see our Brazilian superstar scoring goals this summer! #TST #DFLFC @TST7v7

DFLFC is excited to announce the commitment of Tim Menzel! . . . Menzel has managed and played with AA Express (formerly Mission Taco) for the past decade. With this team, he has won 8 Mitre Cups and 5 Illinois Cups. Professionally, he also played one season with the St Louis Ambush and semi-pro for Martisa FC. . . . Menzel grew up in Webster Groves, MO attending Webster Groves High School and stayed in St Louis for college attending Fontbonne University. His accolades include 2014 SLIAC All-Tournament Team and 2nd Team All-Conference. . . . DFLFC wants to add another win the Tim’s tournament resume! #TST #DFLFC @TST7v7

DFLFC is excited to announce the commitment of Erick Ocampo! . . . Born in Medellín, Colombia, Ocampo brings his South American flair to DFLFC. Professionally, he has played in USL 2 for the St Louis Lions 2014-15 and in the UPSL for Martisa FC where he competed in the 2019 Lamar US Open Cup. . . . Before playing professionally, Ocampo played for Missouri Baptist University where he served as captain. He was also invited to be a part of U16 USYNT camp as a teenager. . . . Ocampo is currently the Director of Coaching for Impact City FC - St Louis helping the next generation of young players reach their full potential. . . . DFLFC is excited to see Ocampo’s talent and leadership on display at TST! #DFLFC #TST @TST7v7

DFLFC is excited to announce the commitment of Christian Briggs! . . . Briggs is currently a defender for St Louis Ambush in the MASL. He has also played at the club level for Ma Pau and San Juan Jabloteh in Trinidad and Tobago as well as the Chicago Inferno in USL 2. . . . Before signing with the Ambush, Briggs played in St. Louis at Saint Louis University for three seasons and finished his collegiate career at Loyola University Chicago. . . . Aside from playing, Briggs also enjoys coaching young players. He is an assistant coach for Clayton High School boys program, and has previously had coaching roles at Marquette High School, St Louis FC Academy, and the Missouri Youth Soccer Association’s Olympic Development Program. . . .
