When I worked for the Air Staff as a young staff officer, I was involved in programming and budgeting for aircraft and acquisitions. At the time, senior leadership wanted to “retire” A-10s. Thankfully, we convinced them otherwise.
That was 1992. Today, A-10s are patrolling the Persian Gulf.

Someone was taking a knee while the USA flag and anthem was being sung and displayed. The team captains and coach said none of that BS. I wouldn’t stand next to them. That has nothing to do with Balls. The fact that he prayed for them. Well that is nicer than what I would have been. You don’t like the country don’t come out until after the ceremony. You really don’t like it? Please tell me where you want to live at and play for. I have traveled the world. Seen the good and the bad. We have our warts but this is still the best country and people have died for it. Have some respect is what I would have said and demanded.
