Floridian National - 1996 Gary Player - Tom Fazio Want to take your yacht to the golf course? Floridian has its own Marina. How about helicopter? Don’t worry, they have 2! Helipads. Jim Crane, owner of the Houston Astros, bought the course in 2010 and immediately made it his. He had Fazio redo the Player design. He upgraded the facilities and made the place a truly 5 star luxury destination. Floridian is a blast! With super low play, you will feel like you have the place to yourself. The range is fantastic and one of the training centers for legends Butch and Claude Harmon. The course is fun and playable. Wide fairways allow you to swing freely, but if you miss them you often lose your ball or will need to chip sideways. The greens are fun and fair, with plenty of movement. 17 and 18 are on the St Lucie River and definitely are a great finish to the round. There are multiple driveable par 4’s that are fun and risk/reward. The par 3’s are great and varied. The conditions are mint, greens can run at a 14 when they get going. The service is top notch, as is everything here. Floridian National is another awesome private club in Florida and we were blessed to beat the rain and have an awesome day. (Oh, and I got up and down from the last pic for birdie. If you’ve played that hole, you know that’s wicked!)
