Rainer Companies CEO Danny Lovell says they hope to have the arena (Phase I) sometime during the 2028-29 basketball season. “Hopefully before the postseason.”

For those wondering, I did ask if they've discussed any names for the new arena... They are in the process of finding a sponsor to have the naming rights.

@adverrse @QB1Tattoo If we’re talking strictly wins, then OU won enough games against an SEC schedule to get in the playoff. OSU’s peak seasons never cleared that bar.

@SoonerVirginia @DylanEveryday Hell no. They couldn’t even sell out their stadium for 13 straight seasons when they were abysmal (2010-2022)in the big 12. The real test of an environment-atmosphere & fan base is how they show up when the team under performs and not at their best.

What football game still hurts to think about?

@adverrse @QB1Tattoo Difference is OU actually got the invite and OSU never did. ‘Would have’ trophies don’t exist in college football.

@DukeSilverSoonr @QB1Tattoo The point is that relatively speaking OUs achievement last year is as good as any season from OSU when they were at there peak. The only difference is the rules changed to allow more teams into the CDP, they won just as much and finished ranked just as well as OU did last year.
