Normally, I choose to do nothing. But I will do something if it helps someone else do nothing. I’d work all night if it meant nothing got done.

@NikhilSaglani @Billie_T Ah, that makes sense. At least I'm self aware
English

@Duke_Silver720 @Billie_T Very American, sadly 😬
Pasta is Italian, noodles are Asian!
English

The only way this tweet could be correct is if you swapped the word midfielders for foods
-@DJ___129
In terms of peak and impact, think there’s max 5/6 midfielders in the history of the game who can match Rice
English

@NikhilSaglani @Billie_T What's the difference between pasta and noodles? Is this an ignorant American question?
English

@Billie_T Good time to propose my favourite ice breaker, Bill.
Rank these: rice, pasta (all types), bread (includes pastries, flatbreads etc.), noodles and potatoes (includes chips, crisps etc.)
Genuinely seen heated arguments over this…

@CannonWhiteUSA @GBNT1952 for the sake of this).
After the ceasefire, the estimated gaza population is 2.04-2.1 million, the estimated west bank population is 3.4 million, and that gives us a total of 5.44-5.5 million.
There. I was specific.
Your turn.
English

@CannonWhiteUSA @GBNT1952 The jewish population prior to ww2 was almost 17m, after about 11m. 80yrs later it's almost 16m, they still haven't made it back.
Prior to 10/7/23 the palestinian population was 5.4m, 3.2m in the west bank and 2.2m in gaza (I've seen 2.4m, but I'll use what grok is citing [1/2]

Yes, I’ve heard this one before. Have you actually read the report? Because I have.
And this report is inadequate in calling the Israel/Gaza war a genocide because it skips over the single most important legal requirement: proof of intent to destroy a protected group “as such.”
Documenting mass casualties, displacement, and catastrophic conditions is important, but none of that automatically meets the legal threshold for genocide unless you also establish the specific, coordinated intent to exterminate Palestinians rather than to defeat Hamas or achieve other military objectives.
The report also selectively interprets evidence, treats ambiguous statements as dispositive, and presents atrocity level harm as if it were legally identical to genocidal purpose, which it is not.
Because genocide is the highest crime in international law, its definition is intentionally narrow and courts require airtight proof, not inference or rhetorical framing.
This is why it is important to have actually read and fully understand what you are talking about before you toss idiocy onto the internet.
By failing to bridge that gap between terrible outcomes and legally demonstrable intent, the report reaches a conclusion that is emotionally powerful but legally unsubstantiated—which is why many experts view it as incomplete and insufficient to sustain a definitive genocide claim.
Big words are hard for you. We get it.

@GBNT1952 You are helping to keep me sane during these crazy times, thank you. Also your analogies are amazing .

This is the kind of historical logic that makes actual historians want to take a long walk into traffic. Saying “Karl Marx was a Jew, therefore Bolshevism is Jewish” is like saying “Jesus was Jewish, therefore the Vatican is a synagogue.”
It confuses ethnicity, religion, and ideology in one gloriously illiterate swoop.
Let’s start with Marx. Yes, Karl Marx was born into a Jewish family, but his father converted to Lutheranism before Marx was even six years old, and Marx himself became one of the most ferociously anti religious thinkers in modern history.
He didn’t just reject Judaism; he rejected all religion as “the opiate of the masses.”
Calling Marx “a Jew” in a theological or cultural sense is like calling a vegan “a cattle rancher” because their grandparents owned cows.
The Bolsheviks didn’t follow Judaism; they banned it, along with Christianity and Islam.
They shut down synagogues, persecuted rabbis, and outlawed Hebrew education.
Doesn’t sound very Jewish to me…
They weren’t carrying menorahs into the Kremlin; they were smashing them. The only thing “Jewish” about Bolshevism was the fevered imagination of antisemitic pamphleteers and lazy Western journalists who couldn’t tell the difference between a last name and a belief system.
As for Candace Owens, she’s not some oracle beyond reproach; she’s a political pundit who regularly says historically illiterate things for engagement.
When people call her out, it’s not an “ad hominem,” it’s fact correction. She isn’t attacked for who she is; she’s criticized because she makes statements that are objectively false and deeply misleading.
When someone confuses Bolsheviks with Zionists, equates salvation with geopolitics, and rewrites 20th century history with Cold War buzzwords, the word for that isn’t “persecution.” It is nonsense.
So no, calling Marx a Jew doesn’t make Bolshevism Jewish any more than being born in a barn makes you a horse.
Ranger Doc@RangerDoc9
@GBNT1952 Saying the Bolsheviks were not Jews but Marxists is a false equivalent. One is religion the other a political ideology. Karl Marx was a Jew. Btw. I always notice people attack Candace but I never hear them call her a liar. Lot of other ad homenum attacks and criticism though.
